Theo Walcott?

If we're buying Walcott we shouldn't be paying a penny more then what they paid for him.

I don't want any footballer who has an autobiography out at 22 years old.

Walcott could probably need a move soon then to get more stuff for the sequel - I Am Fast, Still? (aged 22 to 25).

He's already trailing the really interesting young ones out there.

At the tender age of 22 I guess Justin Bieber will have amassed around 10 mesmerizing autobiographies to mention one.

*Searches through Binny's recent activity*
There was a website. Can't remember the name. I just remember looking through it and being surprised at some of the names on it.

If you search for Murphy it might be a good start. I think he was mentioned a few times in the same thread (due to him being on the list).

That Dembele lad has looked quite impressive for Fulham. Would give us some more power in midfield which we lack.

I think Walcott was very good last year, really improved. If the money was right I'd be interested to see how he'd do, assuming Rogers had a plan with someone like him in mind.

I stopped believing the Walcott hype when a 17 year old full back managed to stop him.

Moussa Sissoko, Huntelaar and Narsingh.

If we lose Skrtel, Yanga-Mbiwa.

There are some very good signings to be made there

That would make us a worse team.
I've always liked Hangeland and we'd never again have to worry about not winning enough headers. He's not as strong as Skrtel nor as fast but he'd be very decent on the cheap.

I was at the CL 1/4 against Ars when Theo ran the length of the pitch beating about 5 men to setup Adebayor, what a moment that was superb

Luckily Babel's dive a minute later saved us 😉

honda would be lovely.

Coming late to this thread so no doubt it's been covered.

However, fuck that.

He's fast. Whoop De doo. Extremely limited footballer with that swp level of hype which is equally undeserving.

I'd be amazed & disappointed in equal measure should Rodgers get him.

Really??

What is it about Theo - apart from the fact he's English - that creates such a negative vibe?

As I said, he outperformed Mata and if Hazard matches his performance next season then people on here will be screaming about how we should have just gone out and got him no matter what. If Dirk had managed that or Carroll then we'd be talking about how good it is to have such a player.

Instead we get people complaining he's got nothing in his locker, he's average etc etc.

I'd be happy to take an average player who scores 11 with 13 assists without a problem.

The point's been made a number of times when we've been discussing Rodgers on here that Rodgers likes to play wide men who strike infield towards goal. That's pretty much Walcott to a "T". If (I suspect it's a big "if", but anyway) the fee isn't outlandish, I'd be willing to give him a go.
