The Suarez replacement

£60m is very cheap for him, I would have swapped him for Suarez and paid money on top if that had been an option.

James is the best player I've seen in ages, he reminds me of the 90's a bit.

not sure if serious but we have to take risk to get him...that guy is class. He has the character and that is what makes him one of the best player at the WC so far. He could inspire the whole NT and if you see some highlights from Monaco's games in the last season, he has that sudden flash of brilliance aka Messi, Ronaldo and Suarez's class...the only thing is he doesnt have numbers like other players, i mean that consistency (goals + assists) for a long period of time. But there is no doubt about his performance level and performance consistency. He surely wont get worse under BR, the only thing is as of right now he wont be value for money that we will have to pay to get him. But I am sure when Madrid comes calling in 3-4 seasons, we can sell him for at least a profit of 20m.

I thought Madrid were looking at him this year . Must be shite playing in front of 30 fans at Monaco every game. Still a tax free pay packet probably helps

He won't play every week for madrid, especially not as a 10. We could easily convince him to play elsewhere for a few years until Ronaldo and Bale get old, then let him move to Real in his prime.

Also we should set up a subsidiary club in Monaco which we use to buy and pay players tax free. Then "loan" them back. Plenty multinationals get away with that just fine

Real are looking to sell Di Maria. Sadly PSG are interested and will bid a fantizillion euros.
Would have loved him at Anfield.

Finnbogason - looks half decent.

Just signed for Real Sociedad. Will be interesting to see how he does in La Liga

Yep, the last Heerenveen export to Iberia hasn't worked out too well though as Filip Djuricic hasn't played much for Benfica. Though with Rodrigo off to Valencia and Markovic possibly coming to us, maybe he'll get his minutes next season. I've only seen clips of him at Heerenveen, and he looks like an exciting talent. Not sure why he hasn't had much of a sniff at Benfica though. Maybe because Benfica was putting some of the other players in the shop window to showcase them and it's his turn next season.

Am I allowed to mention that the latest twitter rumours are suggesting Loic Remy?

There is a "trusted source" with his own stickied thread saying the same on another site. ( Not football rumours.com !)

It is the same bloke who somebody on here used to know and says he knew nothing then.

Where is it from mate?

Remy is a good player, but he's hardly that Suarez replacement we need. At least he scores goals I suppose. We really should be sounding out Reus to see if there's any chance, I'd happily spend £40million on him.

NOT SAFE FOR PEOPLE WHO GET ANGRY ABOUT PROBABLE BOLLOCKS OFF T'INTERCLACKER

Karlton81 that bloke off twitter has his own thread here

I'll say this again - I used to work with this guy back in 2002 and he certainly had no links whatsoever to the club. He obviously could have gained some since I stopped working there (in 2007) but I doubt it. Karl was a big Liverpool fan who always wanted us to sign Quaresma.

Reus release clause doesnt activate until 2015, no chance he'll leave now according to Raphael Honigstein, Guardian's German football correspondent

I forgot which member it was. Soz.

Like I say, he may well have inside information, I have no idea - he's not a mate and I'm not in touch with him, but when I did know him he certainly didn't have any inside info. People can make up their own mind I guess - personally he doesn't seem to ever say anything that's not in papers/goal.com.

Duncan Jenkins was the most accurate one I ever saw!

I just tend to pay attention to Tony Barrett and James Pearce, to be honest. They'll normally say if we're in for someone. One of the people I follow is LFCZA on twitter who tends to re-tweet journalists and twitter 'itks' so all the speculation is in one place. But I can't remember any instance where one of these ITKs has called a transfer when it hasn't been mentioned by a journo.

He's 100% a bullshitter

Yep and a Dortmund fan all his life I believe.

I can see him moving on next year though.
