Again I might me wrong with me being a noob, but it seemed they made the same mistake England did with agar, in changing their bowling style cos it was the bottom of the order.
Yeah an element if that. But occasionally tailenders do put on runs because they've nothing to lose and just start swinging at things. It infuriates the life out of bowlers.
Some are better than others at it though. One or two get lucky but Swann can actually bat.

Great intuitive captaincy from Cook. If Root had bowled he would quite likely to have been twatted to all corners of the ground, thus giving the Aussies added confidence. I regard Bresnan as very innocuous when the wicket isn't giving him any help, but he certainly pulled one out of the hat there! 🙂

Yeah, it was definitely hitting & was definitely pads. His bat hit the pad so turned the bat face away & he missed the ball.
If they can they'd be fucking mad not to imo, they're not right mentally.
