I've finally got around to watching the highlights of last night. That was simply an astonishing day's cricket! Cook surpassing Lara!? Broad standing up to the chin music. Fair play - Every Aussie player congratulated them both and the crowds really appreciate it too. Brilliant to see and what a redemption for Cook! WOW!

SA - minus Steyn, who got injured again (the end of an era ... what an unreal talent he was) - managed to beat India despite giving them a rather easy target after a horrible collapse in their 2nd inning. Philander got 6-42, a career best.

Based on how you've played England, I'll be amazed if we can hold our own.

Alma is clearly on the decline - I really am not sure he should be on the team on current form.
De Villiers is still incredible - but will he play?
Faf hasn't been great the last year either

Steyn's probably done - and that leaves us with Big Vern, Morne & Rabada ... No other adequate (read: dangerous) pace bowlers.

Saw a bit of that last night - he looks really promising.

SA need him and more, as you said in your earlier post - the likes of Steyn, Morkel, Vern - aren't the force they may have been.

Harsh on Vern - he's actually still really good. Bowls a great line, never too expensive and always takes wickets. I like Morkel too - but Steyn is never around! 🙁

Ngidi got 6 wickets! What a debut for a 21 year old ... Nice to see that.

Two great catches today by Morkel & AB - nice to embarrass the Indians a bit after how they humbled us last year!
