.........was perfect. Just saw it again, J.Giles and Kenny Cunningham think Fat Face is an idiot for claiming otherwise....

Fat head can get to fuck anyway after last years beach ball incident. It was a perfectly legitimate goal, the ref blew. Play to the whistle

Unfortunately so was the Torres one that was disallowed early on. Bang in line.

But the rant from FatFace on how unsportmanslike Liverpool are looks just grim an idiotic when you concider the beachball goal last year. It wasnt fair he claims, it was against the rules....

Love the new avatar Ross

i thought it was odd...

i dont know what they were doing..

If it was given against us id be livid.. What was the defender thinking though?? its like he had a split second brain fart. The ball was ready to be kicked back into play.. all of a sudden he decides - Shit! ill pass it back to the keeper..(who was still on his line and not expecting the pass at all)

Its the worst attempt at time wasting ever.

Well, the referee association or whatever they are called, just said that the goal was correct and that the ref made the right desicion.

So fuck off fathead.

I don't think it should have stood really. It's all a bit odd

still, makes up for the beach ball

Why?

The ball is stationary, in the exact spot the foul occured and the ref has started moving, anticipating the free kick being taken... What's the problem?

Ref had his back to the ball and I expected him to blow the whistle again. If the ref himself thought it was fine, why did he keep the whistle in his mouth after torres ran through, almost hesitant to blow. But why put the whistle there? And why ask the assistants opinion? Hardly send sure if himself

This from the ref who gave the ghost goal in the championship last season

2 years ago bro I think, how time flies. He did look like the most clueless official ever seen at Anfield since Martin Atkinson.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I feel, it's almost like bad sportsmanship, but I hate fathead and we were on the end of the beachball incident (and Nando's legitimate goal), so....

Does anyone know what Bruce's comments were after the beachball game? I doubt if he thought his players were unsporting for not telling the referee what had happened.

Also, in all the furore about the goal, little or nothing has been said about the perfect goal that was disallowed earlier in the match
