Salah is going to absolutely wipe the floor with that record by the time he's done here. You can bet your bottom dollar he's aware of it. Even allowing for his numbers fading a little, I still think he can surpass Shearer in 40-50 fewer games. The Wirtz signing will no doubt change the dynamics of the attack with another creator/finisher type operating more on the left side, but I'd hope they will be able to support each other numbers in pretty dramatic fashion. We had both our 2 most creative players operating on the right flank last season. Adding Wirtz to the party should be defenders really are up against in from all angles, especially when they're sitting deep. The very best players usually find ways to make it work pretty quickly.
