With both Suarez and Sturridge on 9 goals each
[article] 11 teams have seen two strikers score 10+ goals before January 1 during the history of the Premier League - although only six of those have come since 1995 when the league was reduced from 22 to 20 teams (and therefore fewer games are played).

Two players from one club hitting double figures for Premier League goals before January 1:

20-team seasons:
ARSENAL 1997/98: (Ian Wright 10, Dennis Bergkamp 10)
BLACKBURN 1997/98: (Chris Sutton 12, Kevin Gallacher 10)
MAN UTD 1999/00 (Dwight Yorke 11, Andrew Cole 13)
ARSENAL 2004/05 (Robert Pires 10, Thierry Henry 16)
MAN UTD 2005/06 (Ruud van Nistelrooy 15, Wayne Rooney 10)
MAN CITY 2011/12 (Edin Dzeko 10, Sergio Aguero 13)

22-team seasons:
ARSENAL 1993/94 (Ian Wright 12, Kevin Campbell 10)
NEWCASTLE 1993/94 (Andrew Cole 19, Peter Beardsley 10)
BLACKBURN 1994/95 (Chris Sutton 13, Alan Shearer 17)
MAN UTD 1994/95 (Andrei Kanchelskis 11, Eric Cantona 10)
TOTTENHAM 1994/95 (Teddy Sheringham 10, Jurgen Klinsmann 10)[/article]

Thats an interesting one.

Most of those went on to win the league or at least finish around the top few positions.

Its what gives me confidence that we will get top 4, it would defy logic if Suarez and Studge scored 25 each and we end up finishing 5th/6th.

I like Sergio Ramos. I think he's a very good player. He would be top tier if he could cut out some of his shenanigans.

75 per cent (18/24) of the goals Liverpool have scored have been netted in the first half of games this season, the highest proportion in the English top flight.

Four of Steven Gerrard's five assists this season for Liverpool in the Premier League have come from set-pieces.

Liverpool have kept just one clean sheet in their last nine Premier League matches; this after keeping six in their previous seven.

Liverpool have lost just one of their last 10 Premier League away games (W5 D4 L1), but have won just one of the last five (W1 D3 L1).

Only in 2007-08 and 2003-04 (30) have Arsenal had more points after 12 matches of a Premier League season than they have mustered so far this campaign (28).

Only one of Arsenal's last 22 Premier League opponents has managed to score more than one goal in a game against the Gunners (Aston Villa, 3-1 in August).

Everton have lost just one of their last 12 Premier League matches (W5 D6 L1) and lost just one of the last 29 at Goodison Park (W19 D9 L1).

Excluding blocked shots, 15 of the 19 shots that Romelu Lukaku has attempted this season have been on target.

Norwich City have not won back to back Premier League home games since December 15th 2012.

Crystal Palace have seen their woodwork struck nine times by the opposition this season, which is more often than any other team.

In the top five European leagues this season, only Lyon (20) have more goals from French players than Newcastle (16, level with Marseille).

10 points after 12 matches is Fulham’s worst ever start to a Barclays Premier League campaign. They had 16 points at this stage last season.

In West Ham’s previous 17 Premier League campaigns, they have only once had fewer points than they have at this point in 2013-14 (8 points in 2010-11 and they were relegated).

Fulham have attempted the fewest shots in total in the Premier League so far this season (96, inc. blocked).

West Ham have hit the target with just 32.4 per cent of their shots this season, the lowest percentage in the top flight.

This is Southampton’s best ever start to a Premier League campaign, surpassing the 17 points they had earned after 12 games in 2003-04.

Chelsea have an identical Premier League record this season to the one they had in the opening 12 games under Roberto di Matteo last season (W7 D3 L2) who was sacked after 12 games.

Man City are the first side to score 26 goals in their opening six top-flight home games of a season since Sunderland (26) in 1935-36.

Man City have scored with 22 per cent of their shots this season, the best conversion rate in the Premier League and also fired in the most shots on target (81).

Southampton have allowed their opponents fewer shots on target against them than any other team in the top division (35).

Southampton have scored six headed goals in the Premier League, the joint-most in the top flight along with Liverpool.

If Tottenham fail to score against Man Utd, they will equal their worst ever run of games without scoring in Premier League history (four games in Feb 2001 & Sep 2006).

Excluding a penalty, Tottenham have failed to score with any of their last 78 shots in the Premier League.

Chelsea have an identical Premier League record this season to the one they had in the opening 12 games under Roberto di Matteo last season (W7 D3 L2) who was sacked after 12 games.

Funny that that record is good enough for Mourinho under Abramovic but not Di Matteo. Maybe he's softening in his old age.

- Stoke are enduring their worst-ever start to a Premier League season with 13 points from 13 games.

- Swansea have picked up just one point from seven games against top-half sides this season.

- Seven of the West Ham's 13 games this season have been 0-0 at half-time.

[article=http://www1.skysports.com/watch/tv-shows/footballers-football-show/news/9054032/sam-allardyce-damien-comolli-and-chris-anderson-talk-football-stats]It's the last Footballers' Football Show of the year but it's going to be a great one.

The subject this week is the stats revolution and how numbers have changed the game.

Joining David Jones in the studio will be West Ham manager Sam Allardyce who, fresh from a terrific win over Fulham at the weekend, will dsucss the importance of statistics on tactics and training.

Second guest Damien Comolli - former Arsenal scout and Director of Football for Tottenham and Liverpool in recent years - is the ideal man to discuss how numbers and figures aid the scouting of players and whether he ever used them when signing the likes of Luka Modric, Gareth Bale or Luis Suarez.

Former professional goalkeeper turned football statistics guru Chris Anderson will spark the debate with Sam and Damien when he gives insight from his book, The Numbers Game - Why Everything You Know about Football is Wrong.

Ahead of the show we asked Chris about some of the key statistics he may analyse on the show.

He said: "To me the statistical story of the year so far has to do with Tottenham: they look great on paper (shots produced, conceded, etc.), but they haven't produced the point to go along with that. The question is why?

"Another, related story has to do with Arsenal: their numbers don't look radically different from last year, but are doing extremely well results-wise. Again, why?

"Whilst Fulham, who have recently sacked Martin Jol are profoundly bad. And they were bad in the second half of last season. Not a good investment for Mr. Khan so far."[/article]
