It's all gone south since we sold Ming.

[/quote]Yep like Modric at spurzzzzzzzzzz

I thought Adam was good today. Benderson was back to being crap after 10 mins of useful last week. Downing had twenty mins in him. None of them have the speed of mind of Ming and that's why we're just that crucial bit slower in the midfield. You can see it a mile off. It's a shame.

When Downing and Henderson jumped ahead of him in the pecking order, could you blame him?

And he'd have stayed if we wanted him to.

I'm annoyed with us

Totally.

Maxi needs to start, Lucas as a platform for the offense to leap from, kuyt needs to be benched, Johnson should be fucking sold instantly, hendo to be played central, Suarez to be behind carroll, and gerrard OR Adam to play. When both play its very lampard/ gerrard for England

On the plus side..
It took us three games more last year to get to 15 points.

On the minus side..
We were shit last year and didnt deserve any more than we got, this year is harder to bare because against:
Stoke, Sunderland, United and now NORWICH we have fucking thrown away points. We arent struggling because we are shit anymore we are struggling because we are brainless and tactically naive.
We got fucking humped by Spurs but we should be between 6 and 10 points better off than we are. we REALLY should.

Gerrard and Adam need to sort which one of them pressures the attackers and which goes forward to help. So many fucking times they both backed off or refused to go forward.

Fuck the haters. We missed Lucas

But surely this is a sign of improvement? This season, we passing better, moving better and defending better. IF our finishing is better we'd so far beyond the same time last season people will be salivating about winning the league. Last season, we were so poor we did NONE of what we're doing now.

it annoys me when people try to defend the current situation by comparing it to last season. last season we were in fucking turmoil on and off the pitch, and managed by a budgerigar. it was an extraodinary situation, and as a reference point for now it's barely relevant. instead, compare it to the lesser disaster that was 2009/10: this year we have 15 points from 9 games, just as we did in that mess of a season. in 08/09 we had 23 pts by this stage.

But you knew it would be like this with so many new players, and we havent done us any favours by selecting so many of them at the same time.

But, the last two games we've played well and created loads of chances only to concede two goals from personal mistakes.
To find a positive spin you can say that the team is geling and we're moving in the right direction. With us bound to hit form infront of goal sooner rather than later. The defence can be sorted out, and we're at least creating chances and not playing shite.

But, we should have 8-10 more points based on created chances and the goals we've conceded. Thats shite.

Arsenal will be two points behind us if they win tomorrow and they've been the laughing stock of the Premier League so far this season.

I think thats exactly the point. It looks like we've taken one step back, the hope is that it leads to two leaps forward...
Carroll, Henderson, Enrique, Suarez, Coates, Kelly, Lucas all young with years ahead of them not to mention Coady, Amoo, Sterling, Jonjo, Wisdom, Flannagan, Robinson, Morgan etc we have potential for a very bright future. Notsomuch for this year though.

if the problem's that too many players are bedding in then that's kenny's fault for not managing it better. if it's that we've spent and sold unwisely that's kenny's fault too. personally i think it's both.

i'm not impressed, PARTICULARLY given how well we were doing towards the end of last season (yes, largely down to kenny) and how radically that team's been changed.

True, but we can't always look at the young players coming through. The likes of Reina and Suarez will surely be off if we don't make the Champions League, Carra's on his last legs, Gerrard will be 32 next season.

I'm properly worried about our future to be honest. We're so jittery and unconvincing.

Fuck it, you're right lets get all doomy gloomy. We're shite, we're not gonna win anything, every move, pass, player is shite, in fact we're gonna get relegated. We have a shit manager, shit owners, shit players (except for Lucas).

*feels so much better*

Thanks.

Yeah that's what i mean - remainder of this season.

Despite all our fuck ups against teams like Norwich over the years, before the match i was sure we'd get 9 points from the next 3 games.

Big pressure on us to win at West Brom next week. Arsenal could easily go on a winning run, Newcastle are looking solid and grinding out results and Spurs play Blackburn and QPR next...6 points there no doubt.

Spurs are the worry. They are a better team at the minute. But we have a good squad and as has been said if we suddenly get it right we could gel.

i agree. it's all about spurs - i don't think there's a lot of difference between our squads but right now they're more of a settled unit and look the favourites for 4th.
