Rafa - No big money signings

providing none of our 'untouchables' leave our squad is good enough to win the league. I don't think it is strong enough to push for all four competitions but seeing as I only care about the league I couldn't care less.

The problem is, where is this mentality springing from? Because Ronaldo and Tevez have left United? Are we banking our chances on stability and a couple of major improvements, or are we pinning our hopes on United's decline?

Everyone around us is improving, City in particular, there's no point standing still, this is an opportune moment not to hedge our bets, but to make the crucial signings that could see us leapfrog United. Hit them while they're at their weakest because ultimately, if we don't, we might regret it.

I'll be fucking livid if we pass up this golden opportunity.

it's sprining from missing out on the league by 4 points which could (and should) have been picked up against poor teams at anfield.

Fair enough, I'm just picking up on your point about our squad being good enough, that's debatable really. It wasn't good enough last season (just), so regardless of United's problems we should really strive to go that extra step, rather than taking solace in United's departures. Not forgetting Chelsea aswell, who with a bit of stability and sound management could easily be back in there.

There do seem to be a few posters following this Blackie Grey/FatBottom around like a bad smell? If he does something to be banned for, ban him. But following him around calling him all the twats under The Lying Rag is just baiting.

mors, we dont even know it's him until he starts being a cunt so it's hardly us baiting him. He's just an internet angryhead who seems to think he's an uber- fan cos he was born in the city.

The Spaniard is also confident he already has enough squad depth at his disposal to cope with any injuries to his preferred front pairing.

We are confident in (Dirk) Kuyt, (Ryan) Babel, (David) Ngog and (Andriy) Voronin for next season. We have players with quality he added.

People say I might need another striker but I remember signing Robbie Keane and everyone was saying good things.

Then after I sold Robbie people were saying I was short of strikers but we scored more goals than anyone in the Premier League.

This transfer window has been fucking rubbish so far. A fullback and a made up rumour about Ribery is all we've had to go on so far.

I want us to sign some players godammit... or at the very least, be linked to some. Any kind of activity!

if we don't buy anyone then we didn't have a transfer budget. keane and other sales easily covered johnson.

You would have to be have been willfully optimistic to expect anything else tbh every single noise eminating out of the club for a good while now has been financially negative...it isnt a smokescreen it just a fire.. the owners are scrabbling compared and to be fair to them ( although i would rather piss on their poxy lying graves) the market is truly nuts and thats the bottom line.

Johnson is our big signing, not what i would have gone for because i thought we needed an attacker more than a defender but nonetheless he is a good addition and will help our right flank so we have to hope its enough.

It will obviously be utter cack if squad depth costs us again but after the way we performed last season you have to be hopeful that we have got enough to win the league, I certainly get the impression that rafa was impressed by last term and is genuinely happy.

Yet again we will be reliant on Gerrard and Torres but to be fair so would any other team with those two in it!

Anyway what can you do when Real are going fucking nuts and City also...

We gotta be at it from day one and hope Chelsea have a few teething troubles... i see us finishing above United.
