Pre match: Liverpool v Newcastle

Nah, we'll batter them and I never go out on a limb over predictions. I just think the occasion will rile us again, Rafa being back, and it being Newcastle which is historically usually a good match.

------------------Ming-------------------
Clyne---Toure----Lovren---Moreno
----------------Stewart-----------------
---------Milner--------Allen------------
-Firmino-----Sturridge----Coutinho

Get the job done and then take off the likes of Sturridge, Coutinho, Milner..

I wouild love to have another look at Ojo.

I want to try and find out whether he is really as brilliant as I think he is, or whether I was deluding myself.

I think with some players you can just tell. He seems to carry a confidence with him, he's got the strength and physique to hold players off. You could see him doing it in the last game, he was taking command of the play and was confident enough to pick up the ball and to shake players off. Not just your standard winger, picking it up and using his pace to do opponents, this was a healthy arrogance and belief in his own ability. Head up and and in complete control of what he wanted to do.

Haven't noticed it before but look at McDermott's face after Collymore scores the winning goal.
He can't hide his delight, hahaha!
Proper Liverpool supporter despite sitting on the Newcastle bench.
Contrast being Keegan.

Kev looked like he was literally sick ha poor bastard.

McDermott with the cheeky smile.

Have to be really, really careful playing about Sturridge in this game. One full time striker left, and you don't know what bad tackles idiots like Tiote, Shelvey and Taylor can throw (if they play - but then, Benitez is all about rotations, so who knows, they might!). Sure, he might get injured in training as well, but the risks go up a few fold with these crazies on the pitch.

He trains with Flanno. These guys tackle like 5 year old girls by comparison.

Rumoured team:

Mignolet, Randall, Toure, Lovren, Moreno, Stewart, Milner, Allen, Lallana, Firmino, Sturridge

I guess we'll find out in an hour.
That seems about right.
I mean if Sakho is suspended.
Lucas rested, obviously.
Surprised to see Milner play.
Really hope Sturridge makes it through in one piece.

So Klopp doesn't rate Flanagan?

Dunno, either that or he's come back from that injury fucked. It's a bit weird. He played well on his comeback then had a couple of iffy games, understandably after 18 months out.

Confirmed team:

Liverpool: Mignolet, Randall, Toure, Lovren, Moreno, Stewart, Allen, Milner, Lallana, Firmino, Sturridge.
Substitutes: Ward, Skrtel, Smith, Lucas, Coutinho, Ibe, Ojo.

Newcastle: Darlow, Anita, Mbemba, Lascelles, Dummett, Townsend, Tiote, Colback, Sissoko, Perez, Cisse.
Subs: Woodman, Mbabu, Shelvey, Wijnaldum, Aarons, De Jong, Mitrovic.

I'm guessing that Milner, Sturridge and either Lallana or Moreno will get subbed during the game.
