The problem with us is, you never know where the goals are coming from. When we are bang on form, great, but when we are not, as it is now, we look as blunt as Sunderland minus Defoe.

Look at the past winning sides, you always know where the goals are coming from.

Blackburn - S & S
Manc before - Always the great crosses with Beckham Neville Giggs et el and the set pieces
Arsenal before - Henry + supporting casts like Overmars etc.
Last season Leicester - Vardy, Mahrez
This season Chelsea - Costa, Hazard

Besides consistent main scorers, the teams all have better defences than us.

To bring my point across, we almost won the league when the 3S were plummeting goals.

Unfortunately before we find some consistent and reliable scorers, or alternatively a better defence + some Leicester luck, we are never going to win the league.

I don't think anybody would deny that until we get a top quality defensive unit that is reliable and miserly, we won't win titles

The issue with 'reliable' goalscorers is less clear, although it is a point that has been discussed at length. While there is no certainty that a player who can deliver 20 goals or so - maybe even two! - there is unarguable evidence to suggest that you are far, *far* more likely to win the league if you have one than not.

Of course it's easy enough to point out teams that had (or have) one and still didn't win the title (not least Liverpool on several occasions), but that's a fallacious argument. If you have one, you're statistically more likely to win the title

But I think I'd possibly want to fix the shocking defence first

Well most of us were dreaming of it, at least I was briefly. But there was always a niggling feeling akin to a house of cards.

There were talks from Klopp that he didn't need a goalscorer or a playmaker with gegen, and that he doesnt think there's a problem with the defence. That worries me because we are starting to see how stubborn Klopp is.

And yet with a decent keeper and fair reffing we would be top of the league !

Well most of us were dreaming of it, at least I was briefly. But there was always a niggling feeling akin to a house of cards.

There were talks from Klopp that he didn't need a goalscorer or a playmaker with gegen, and that he doesnt think there's a problem with the defence. That worries me because we are starting to see how stubborn Klopp is.

That stubbornes should be worshipped by the fans. Because that shows he doesn't compromice on what he believe in. And his ideas made him win two bundesligas and Took him to the CL final.

That stubbornes is a good thing. That is what make him not allowe players to be primadonnas in his teams. They have to work hard for the fans money. There are not freeriders living on past merrits. That stubbornes saves us from being held ransom by other clubs and players and pave the way for a strong and sustainable future.

That stubbornes made us the team with the highest top level in the first half of the season, and is also the only Hope we have to get to the same level in second half. For those out there thinking a less stubborn guy would at least splashed some cash during January can look at the teams behind us what they splashed during summer. It is not the cash spent alone that guarantee success, it is the stubborn hard work week in and week out in the training field that eventually makes us the best team out there.

Don't make stubbornes sound like a weakness.

.... and yet despite not having consistent or reliable scorers, we've managed to outscore EVERY team in the league this season.
