I can't be the only bugger on here who'll be watching the play off finals this weekend can I?

I love the play offs because not only is there so much at stake for each club involved but each player individually has a lot riding on it. The average wage in the 4th tier is about £50,000 per YEAR and these players can almost double their wages by getting promoted.

This weekend the Champions league final rates 4th in my list of priorities after Derby v QPR, Leyton Orient v Rotherham and Burton v Fleetwood.

The Derby v QPR one is fascinating as McLaren left QPR (where he was assistant manager) to take over at Derby during the season so knows QPR inside out...........despite this i think QPR will prevail simply because Charlie Austin is so bloody awesome.

I said that Burnley wouldn't miss Charlie Austin when he left for £5m because Danny Ings was waiting in the wings but if they could have held onto him; Austin & Ings were made for each other. Rumour has it Burnley want to sign Austin back if QPR don't get promoted.

QPR were top of the table when Austin picked up an injury, they slid down the table in his absence and there's no coincidence that they have come back into form since Austin has been back fit.

I'll wager that our supposed target Will Hughes will once again be left out of Derby's starting line-up (hardly a ringing endorsement). Derby's midfield is very good but in theory QPR have the most talented midfielder on show in Ravel Morrison.

Derby obviously have a good chance but I think if QPR play Austin and Zamora up front they'll have too much for Derby's usually tight defence.

The Orient v Rotherham game could go either way but Rotherham are the better team and should prevail. If Burton start with Kee and McGurk up front then I reckon they'll beat Fleetwood.

I may watch this, if only to see how Wisdom is doing for Derby.
Their defence is very solid but rarely comes up against such a potent force as Austin & Zamora. I kinda want QPR to stay down and hope that Burnley do re-sign Austin because he and Ings together will surprise lots of EPL defences.

I'll be watching. Love the lower leagues. Will definetly go to a game the next time I'm over.

QPR, Leyton O and Burton for me.

If QPR don't make it up, they'll really be in a mess financially.......so that's Derby to win for me.

I love the drama of the play-offs but it must be hell for the teams and fans concerned. It really is all or nothing in the final.

Derby. Van Claren is less annoying than redknapp and its funny to see QPR in a mess after spending so much

IMO both managers have fucked up their team selections; Will Hughes starting for Derby instead of Bryson is daft and equally poor decision by QPR not to pick Zamora or Morrison to start. Kevin Doyle starting in place of Zamora is daft. I had a bet on QPR winning but have sold it at a break-even price and will do a 1st goalscorer bet.

£25 Jamie Ward 1st goal to win £320

Even though I used to live in Queen's Park, it's Derby for me too; less travel for us, more for the London teams.

Derby for me, cos I hate some of the pricks at qpr, the owners, the manager, & a few of their players, are bellends.

I'd be very surprised if any of you who haven't seen Will Hughes before will be impressed.

Wisdom's no RB. I wonder if we can find a team for him in the PL who'd be brave enough to play him at CB.

Aye and there's very rarely any end product. Thorne in midfield for Derby is on loan from WBA and looks easily good enough to have featured in the EPL this season.

Yeah I thought Thorne looked their best player on the pitch. He'll have caught the eyes of some scouts with that performance in the first half.

Erm why? He hasn't done anything wrong this half, unless you're referring to his lack of attacking contribution, which I agree has been pretty non-existent.

Can neither of these teams get promoted please? That first half wasn't great. Thorne and Ward look okay-ish though.

Having seen him 4 or 5 times this season and having seen WBA quite a few times they could have done with him this season.
