Yeah, that ship has sailed interms of getting any money for him.
Shame, he’s a good lad and you have to wonder what his career might have been like if he hadnt gotten injured against Roma.

Up there with Balotelli in terms of transfers with obvious bad outcomes that we inexplicably ignored. Nice lad though.

I really feel for Ox, but his luck seems to have run out for us..
time for change for him, once he can

I stopped seeing him as an important squad member about 3 years ago, so it makes zero difference to me.
I actually feel a bit sorry for him, I wanted him to do well. Terribly unlucky with injuries but he's been at LFC for like 5 years now and we still don't know which position he plays in.
He should have asked for a transfer last summer to go somewhere he could actually get time on the pitch.

Can't believe we actually paid 35m for an injury proner who was in last year of his contract.

Then again I guess they cant all work out the way we'd like.

Will he become the biggest loss we've made on a transfer?

We should've gotten rid years ago. I don't understand why he's still here.

English quota, nice guy... sure... but we've gotten next to zero value out of him on the pitch since that first season.

It is what it is now. The sad thing for all concerned is that all his latest setback means is that he doesn't feature in some cup games... and even that doesn't feel like a great loss. Would rather see one of the kids (e.g. Bajetic).

I’m pretty sure I’m repeating myself when I say it was a bad decision by the club to offer a new contract. But let’s put this down to an experience that I doubt we will repeat. He’s not going anywhere. Never was. Don’t even waste your time thinking about it.

Probably... Until VVD or Becker leave on free transfers when they physically can't play anymore.
That doesn't really count imo.
Just checked, Lallana is our most expensive loss, just ahead of Wijnaldum.

I like Ox. He seems a nice fella but I stand by what I said when we got him. Talented? No Doubt… Prone to injury? Definitely. Do we need him? Nope. I’m not being a smug twat here but I bet most on here will agree with me. A baffling signing.

At best he's a decent winger for a midtable team playing 4-4-2. We tried to convert him into a central midfielder for a top team. It was never really going to work.

He doesn't have a position. He left arsenal because he didn't want to play on the wing. Even when he was faster he wasn't fast enough to play on the wing for a midtable team. He's just one of those players that you try to get something out when they are in a purple patch, but they're just less than the sum of their parts. If he didn't score the odd spectacular goal, he'd have no career.

It's risky for him to run down his deal, TBH. I'm sure he'll get somewhere, but he's set for a hell of a pay-cut and a short-term contract at best.

Even if you ignore his injury record, he has spent 12 seasons in the Prem under 2 of the league's greatest managers and still nobody knows what to do with him on the pitch. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all of that but I think it's Besiktas/Fenerbahce time

Yup, has anyone even signed Lingard yet? Even the likes of Dybala and Pogba didn’t seem to be snapped up immediately.

Gone to the highest bidder, Forest.

He even considered MLS, if they were willing to pay him his obscene wages so f him.
