Can’t really see City dropping any points but the Southampton win meant we can still live in hope.

For that to happen we’d have to win our next 3 and City lose one and draw one their next 3.

Highly unlikely.

After back to back wins against Spurs and Soton I feel more optimistic about our chances than I have done for a while. Heart have said yes all the time but the head have said City look to good and are that point infront.

City have had a breeze of a fixture list for the last few months, but now its Spurs, Palace, Spurs, Spurs, Utd, Burnley and Leicester. That will be tough and they wont be able to switch off like they have done for the last few games.

We still have a fantastic chance, so why not just sit back and enjoy the heart attacks that will follow in the next few weeks.

If Spurs get a result on Tuesday, that might be the start to all this that we need.
And don't forget we have Agents : Rodgers, Coady and Benitez to smooth our path.

Not sure - it could go either way, if City lose the next game I always think they (or any other team) will be more desperate/determined to win the next. I would rather they wen into the Crystal Palace game a little relaxed and then suddenly BOOM !!! - they get WAN BISSAKA'd and draw/lose the game. In the same way - I really hope Chelsea get a good result today against West Ham, so they come a little more relaxed to our place next week.

If we beat Chelsea I think it's 50/50. There will be a fuck load of pressure on them after that with two decent teams they'd need to beat.

I think it's 50/50 we beat Chelsea too.

Chelsea are the one side this season we’ve never looked like beating.

They were on top in the league and we snatched a draw at the death and they dumped us out of the cup when both teams had strong sides.

Definitely a bit of a bogey side.

Would be a huge statement to get 3 pts Sunday.

What the fuck are you smoking ? We practically had a reserve side out against them !

Let’s see the team they play tomorrow. That’ll be the side that plays Sunday. They are playing in the Europa League on Thursday and that seems their first priority.

Blue fume has gone off the boil with craziness. They’re going on about how RAWK are city obsessed. In a thread about Liverpool that’s on page 1500! They’re also going on about how we do or don’t sell out. It’s just weird.

They're beyond rattled that lot. They're fucking obsessed.

It's like there must be something suspicious, or something wrong, cos how dare any side compete with their team.

Freaks.

I used to play championship manager as a kid and only ever managed one season because I cheated by managing other clubs at the same time, selling all their best players to Liverpool. After you win everything and assemble your dream team it gets pretty boring and it's a bit hollow too because you know you didn't earn it.

That's probably where city fans are right now.

Fox...they are on their way to greatness...all domestic shit plus the biggest shit in Europe. Yet based on last seasons memories they probably see us as the biggest obstacle to reaching greatness !!!

I didn’t find it boring at all.

In fact I enjoyed doing the quadruple 10 seasons in a row.

I remember getting Ferguson the sack after a 6-0 spanking at OT.

I used a cheat-scout to view all the hidden stats and pick up all the best young players cheaply before flogging at a massive profit.

I even created myself as a player and gave myself superhuman stats, made myself Captain of Liverpool and in time broke all records for scoring, assists... you name it.

I think I was trying to win the World Cup with Noron Iron at one stage....

Endless fun...

In general, the best sides win the league. Man City have been, to date, the best team. They have, like us, slipped up a few times but they've buried most teams, and we have squeaked past far more teams than they have railroaded.

The obvious outcome is a clear City title but luck could fall our way

Nah, City have lost more games than us, its close, it wouldn't be fair to say one teams been better yet, by the end of the season we'll know though.

In fairness their pages only have like 8 posts so they get long quick and they have decent numbers in terms of posters.

Haha. I was in the game once but was absolutely shite even with the best coaching Liverpool had to offer.

I would say City had a worse bad spell in terms of losing games but have been much better in terms of the games they’ve won.

Our only hope is that City haven’t shown much ability to battle to get a win when they’ve gone behind while we seem to do it every other fortnight.

If luck goes against them in one of the big games will they handle the pressure and have the fight?

What irked me about some of the journos re: City at Wembley was this underlying attempt at saying "don't abuse them for not being able to afford it" but the point fans are making is that it is bonkers that a club going for the quad seems to only have 50,000 fans all-in. If any other top 6 club had that many trips to Wembley (even if you allowed for travel and lack of trains etc) there would be about 120,000 unique fans across the three games rather than one set of fans who are either in or they are out. It is piss poor and it is ruining part of the game. Look at Watford vs Wolves - two huge groups of fans absolutely loving the occasion rather than seeing it as a chose "oh god, not Wembley again"
