Other forum meltdown watch 24/25

It's been mentioned before, they have had almost no injuries to key players in the last 2 seasons, how lucky is that.

Now that they just have Odegaard out for a few months and they have a "decimated squad". Boo hoo, cry me a river.
The commentators / pundits are just as bad - when we played them last year we had 3-4 key players out and it was barely mentioned. This season everything is being blamed on Arsenal and City's 'horrendous injury lists'. Bollocks - try having 11-12 players out as we did for a season or two.

The problem with the Arsenal team is they’re all paranoid and suspicious that at any moment they’re going to have their wallet or phone pickpocketed.

Would you want to be spending 90 minutes on the pitch when someone could be fleecing your wallet out of the dressing room!!!

Poor Saliba & Rice shat themselves and purposefully got sent off… that Swedish twat Odegaard is probably shitting himself that someone will nick his camera!!!!

How the fuck is he supposed to take snaps the next time they get a draw against a team in the top half of the table!!!

LOLZ IN EUROPE. Off the fume.

As this or similar will be tomorrows headlines-sorry Don/Kam- the fit players in the squad dont seem to fit the desired tactics ,injuries and fatigue are beyond the scale,no second striker etc-is this the beginning of the end
Yes we are,
Brighton away saturday then other tough fixtures.

We've had it good but fuck this seems messy
I blame Pep saying the team are tired, they certainly have taken it on board alright

Absolutely threw it away, heads went once they scored.

Lacking speed and physicality all over the place.

A bad summer window compounded with injuries has messed us right up.

Need De Bruyne to stay fit and get us to January. Getting Dias, Stones and Grealish back would help too.
No Rodri
No Dias
No KDB

Heartless team

Nunes is the only one who seems to really be trying to prove he wants it.. this is just pathetic!
That was the most predictable result ever tonight. We got a beating from Bournemouth on Saturday, we got a bumming tonight. I think we’re going to her worst before it gets better.
Rock bottom.

The phoenix has to rise from here.
Deputy dog-shit.
Injuries, ageing players and two summer windows buying players not good enough has come to bite us.
Typical City is back …. it’s been a while!

Welbeck hat-trick on Saturday anyone?
Horrible...........
We’re just not a good side right now. Zero creativity.
Remember, remember the fifth of November,
No gunpowder, reason, or plot…
Absolutely painful display. Full of players sulking their way through the game with their heads down.

Fucking wide open every time we lose the ball. We’re dead set on stationing ourselves 40 yards from goal - teams are happy for us to do it because they know one pass or dallying on the ball means they can turn us over and be at our 2 defenders within a second.

We’ve got our centre halves being pulled all over the gaff because one of our full backs is coming central while the other one is high up trying to condense the play.

Pep’s flat out refusal to use McAtee is winding me up too. Can he be worse than what’s on there? Not a fucking chance.

Bernie and Kovacic as a midfield 2 is painful and sets the tone for the rest of the team. They play it too safe. Slow, tepid, no energy and get turned over so quickly.

Shit all the way through the team. Nobody on there willing to take responsibility or take the game by the scruff of the neck.

Painful, painful watch.
Its ok as Big Erl had his usual stupid smirk on his face ...

No way peps signing a new contract
Hideous.

I thought the first 35 mins was the best we have played since West Ham.

The next 55 was the worst since the Mangala/Demichels Liverpool game.

Pep has fucking lost the plot. That ridiculous line up at Spurs in a game even he admitted didn’t matter was just ludicrous and cost us two central defenders.

It’s all a mess at the moment. We are lucky to be second and I can’t see this changing anytime soon. Liverpool will absolutely rip this defence a new one.

Awful night. Absolutely dreadful.
Spineless that. We are making a habit of making average teams look 10x better. One to forget….
Embarrassed by Sporting CP. 3 losses on the bounce. Brighton away next. Squad plagued by injury. Poor performance and result. Could it get any worse?
Worse performance in half a dozen years, utterly woeful.
Some players need to take a good look in the mirror, and never thought I’d say it but Pep also needs to.
Some selections have been baffling to be totally honest.

Also the Rico experiment needs binning. Back 4 with over lapping fullbacks to work with cutting in wingers.
Shitshow Central.
Shambolic, and I honestly don't think that will be the last battering this season. Same shit all the time atm, blame injuries all you like but you need to adapt. We have 1 maybe 2 goal scorers in the team and if they have an off day we have fuck all. Pair that with being shit at the back and we are in serious trouble.
Midfield, slow no energy. One ball is all it takes to get at us
Ha Ha fucking hell.
See you back here Saturday 7pm to discuss how shite we are again :-(
Dogshit, from players and manager alike
We are actually never going to hear the last of it.
What’s an absolute cluster fuck that was. Actually very good for half an hour then got done on the break. Again. After a let off early on. I’m getting rather tired of this highline getting done over and over again.

And then that first five minutes of the second half what the actual fuck. Penalty miss as well from a very generous penalty decision. To cap a bizarre night then pep brings Kev on with five minutes to go. What’s the point?

And then finally we have to put up with the commentators talking about the Man United link like this was a manc derby. Stupid fuckers he’s not taking the whole sporting Lisbon team with him he’s going to a squad that is hopeless.

Crap night. Crap run. Bring on Brighton.
Imagine we finish mid table having to qualify section of the table and draw madrid
Posssibly the worst I’ve seen us in years.

Absolutely no heart or spirit at the moment. I get it - we have injuries, boo fucking hoo. We have the depth to be beating teams like this.

Will we bounce back? Of course we will - but it’s pretty shit showing right now.
The question on everyone's mind is at what point do we begin to worry?
Sorry but not a single player should be going to their national teams over the international break

Media blackout
No fight or spirit shameful
I've not been disappointed in a display for long long long time. The last 3 weeks have slowly, progressively beaten each other.
Thank fuck that's over. Hard watch. We are so below our previous levels across all areas of the pitch. Need a rethink and some fighting passion. Feel sorry for the fans that travelled. Hope the beer is cheap!
So much confusing around the club.

Pep needs to sign or let us know he isn’t.
Is Viana or Txiki running the show?
Who’s out and for how long?
Why is Mcatee here?
Why have the club shit the bed since the treble in terms of signings?
Pathetic. Not looking forward to Brighton and Spurs. The international break can’t come fast enough.

All the players need to hang their head in shame. Again, we don’t take our chances.
Jesus that sucked
SPEND SOME FUCKING MONEY.

Too many slow, weak, poor finishers. Yes we have too many injuries, but we can have no excuses, that’s just an unacceptable performance.

Need some pace and finishing ability and most of all belief, in the team. Not enough (any?) of our team seem able to grab a game and say right we’re not fucking losing this, I’m not fucking losing this. Heads go down, passes go backwards and sideways. It’s fucking shite.

Stop letting cunts like fucking Arsenal outbid us. Buy some proper quality, starting with that Gyokeres guy and a hard bastard in midfield.
How have we ended up in a situation where we have 5 attack minded players who don’t offer any real goal threat (Doku, Grealish, Savinho, Bernardo and Nunes)?
Fooking let the wankfest begin in the media . . That was a shambles that 2nd half . Fook off plug . We did that to ourselves .
We have zero end product on the wings compared to other top teams.
We were shit tonight. Counter attack ripped us apart, attack couldn't finish a sandwich after a hunger strike.
For all those thinking we shouldn't moan about our team or fail to back our manager, that was wank. Complete collapse at the back, failed to take chances again and throw away a game. No subs til way too late in the game. Pep completely empty of ideas. Just seen a manager change his team's attitude at half time . Well done Sporting but as Noel said tonight it's not looking good at the moment. Absolute demolition .
Every fucker needs benching after that. I know pep won't. But some big names need dropping against Brighton
Brighton 3-1 City up next, then more injuries in the international break. Just that kind of season.
We’re in all kinds of trouble
Lewis, Akanji, Gvardiol, Kovacic, Bernardo, Savinho, Haaland all had an absolute shocker
I felt really sorry for Simpson-Pusey as he seem to be held out to dry by his fellow defenders

We’ll qualify for the knockout stages, but we’re nowhere near good enough to win it and I think in the Prem the best we can hope for is a top four finish
It feels like we're at a massive crossroads right now. Is Pep staying or not ? New DOF coming in. Players too old, too slow, burned out or always injured.
Repeatedly failing to convert chances and also wide open with a very high line every game.
Apart from that...
Thought Halloween was last week. Absolute horror show.

i don’t think i’m prepared for a full fume collapse, how would i absorb every drop? i think i might quit my job

I’m paying devils advocate here…

But if our normal system and way of playing is only successful when rodri is available should we not have a contingency or an alternative way of playing to suit the available squad?

We are conceding the same goal time after time and are far too easy to play through. It could have easily been more than 4 today.

It’s not even like we like we’re sacrificing defence for attack either, we look as blunt as we ever have under pep.

Yes we have other injuries but we still have experienced/world class players capable of putting in better performances than we’ve seen the last two games.

Looking at our next few games I’m not holding much hope of it improving unless there’s a system change. Yes we have players returning but we know it takes time for players to regain form and fitness, it’s not going to be an instant fix."

That is us last season.

@MomoWASright
Well with that sweet recital in my ears (eyes) it's off to bed for me (watched the game and now just back from dropping the wife off at the airport). All made sweeter with City in 'crisis' ! Thanks !

Can’t remember the last time City lost three games on the bounce. Shame they weren’t all in the league but it’s great to see.

Hopefully four this weekend and we have enough to get past Villa.

it's actually the first time in Pep's managerial career where he has lost 3 games in a row. I think they will lose to Brighton, what they are experiencing is a tired/old midfield that cannot cope with the thrust of the PL. I actually cannot see them beating Brighton at all, Brighton's manager is fan of old school Klopp stuff, that City team will not be able to cope.

Question is, will Man C even bother strengthening in January if they feel like that 115 trial isn't going their way?

SPEND SOME FUCKING MONEY.

I must say, it would be a touch risky signing for a team with 115 charges hanging over it. Sign to be challenging for the Prem and you end up competing in the Vanarama National league (formerly known as the Vauxhall conference).
