It's a card game.
For children
I do get where DB is coming from.
I wouldn't give any rival fan the pleasure of admitting that I'd have swapped the CL this year for a league title (even if I would).
But to be honest, once we win ONE fcuking PL title, then it's likely the CL and PL will be of equal importance again to Pool fans (even if we then want to surpass United's league total).
Have you played uno since the age of 12?
I play with my kids all the time.
That's what Trump saidI play with my kids all the time.
Yeah... It's a fun game. Do you play with your kids because it gives you fond memories of being 33 and playing with your co workers while sober on a Monday?
That's what Trump said
Yeah, true, but it doesn't mean I would admit it if they are trying to wind me up.Really? Everyone knows the vast majority of Liverpool fans want the title above anything else.
Yeah, true, but it doesn't mean I would admit it if they are trying to wind me up.
I'd rather piss them off by playing up the fact that the European Cup is more important for every big club (Real, Barca, Juve, etc..)
ln fact, I think we're the only club worldwide, who'd probably swap a CL title for a league title.
Is that what he meant? Thanks for clearing that up Ibro. Maybe you could translate all of DB's posts?I do get where DB is coming from.

Exactly my point. It winds up rival fans no end.
Bahaha"Exactly my point"
So I was in Vegas for a bachelor party at the weekend (what a place!). As we were headed to our cabana at some pool party, my friend pointed out someone who resembled De Gea.
As luck wouldn’t have it, we were placed in the one next to him. So naturally went to say hello and was quite complimentary, although letting him know I’m a scouser.
No sooner had I returned next door, security arrived and told us we were to be moving by request of “the soccer star”.
Unfortunately for David, I noticed our new cabana had a great view to his. So has he looked on as our cabana we began to fill with ladies, and his remained strangely empty, I reminded him with 2 hands who was 6 times European champions.
“Bachelor party??”
Don’t you mean Stag Dooo?
Which pool party was it? I was over there in March. It’s mental.
JJ, you don't even to cross the big pond. Over here, in Ireland, I have to say soccer or they think I'm talking about Gaelic Football.Being a languages grad probably has something to do with this, but I consciously try and remember to say "soccer" when I'm west of the pond (less frequently now than previously, but still) and I don't care who knows it. "Soccer" itself is a term of (very) English origin anyway, and when I'm trying to communicate with folks I start from where they are, not where I happen to be.
It's a different matter if I forget and get pulled up on it - then my American friends can expect to be reminded how much better our national game is suited to the name "football" than theirs is. Essentially it's the same philosophy I adopted in my playing days - I'd never start trouble, but you can bet I'll finish it. 🙂
My grandad and even dad at times would say soccer just thought they were being obtuse! HahaI'm embarrassed when British people pick Americans up on the word "soccer" because to do so is a bit ignorant. In the first half of the 20th century the term "soccer" was commonly used in Britain for association football, to distinguish it from rugby football. "Soccer" eventually fell out of use here, but the Americans stuck to it as they are perfectly entitled to do. It's not "wrong."
and rugby football. In Ireland ( at least where I come from) we have Gaelic ( Gaelic football), Hurling ( Which is also Gaelic only not football) and Soccer ( which is, well football).
