That's true. It does appear, given all his strangely timed comments around the Ajax game about being poached from Spurs if he won the CL, that he has been waving a big come-and-get-me flag with increasing gusto. If Zidane gets sacked, as he probably will at some stage next season, Poch has let the Real hierarchy know exactly where he stands.

Add to the comments from Trippier, it sounds like all isnt right at Spurs.

They're probably a bit upset that they aren't building on their successful CL run by buying a shitload of expensive players to add depth.

Pochettino almost certainly is. The fact that he dropped an almighty ricket by picking Kane rather than Moura against us in the last final, and that he's only too well aware of it, won't be helping his mood any.

Like he hasn't been doing that for the last two years anyway

Maybe it would be wise to suspend this thread for a while, in case it is we who are melting down next season!

The people's funny money club:

Everton have signed a new commercial deal with a company that operates in the cryptocurrency market.
The Blues today announced eToro as the club's new 'official online trading partner' with their branding having a presence at Goodison on matchdays.

Picking Kane could have worked out, I think he should have dropped Alli for Moura. He was shite for the second half of last season. Either way it all worked out.

I'm not as convinced about Pochettino's prospects there as some of you guys. He's an ace builder of a club and a team, but he's not yet convinced me he can take an already high class squad and win things with it. Not saying he can't, but I don't think there's been evidence yet that he can either.

Not that I think he would immediately have United challenging for the League, or European titles, but I think they would get better and more competitive under him, which makes my stomach turn.

I would prefer they keep taking steps back, and I feel like he would be a step foreword. How much foreword, not sure, but certainly a step forward.

Well that may be so with the PL but we all know what they are up against there. As for the CL, they were well in that until Origi scored. Fine margins. I was the same defending Klopp, he got us to finals, sometimes fate plays the Joker but by making finals he had showed that he could win if Lady Luck was kinder. I think Pochettino could say the same.

Translated as, “he might win something for spurs, but he might not”

Wisdom there JJ [emoji4]

Arf.

In fairness though, I was answering what seemed to me to be an assumption, by some posters at any rate, that he's a manager who will definitely win something if he stays there and carries on. I don't agree that it is definite and IMO that's a legit point to make. - even in your entertaining version of it. 😛

I am not sure which I find more enjoyable these days, the misery over on Red Cafe or the obsession of all things LFC related over at Blue Moon.

Just spent a few minutes reading about the Charity Shield from the unbiased, thoughtful, incredibly wise and articulate posters at Blue Moon.

Apparently there was some booing from the Liverpool end during "God Save the Queen," and our friends in blue have latched onto to this insult and ran with it, here is a favorite post of mine on the topic, to be fair, he or she could mean this as tongue in cheek, but based on the overall level of that forum, I doubt it.

It seems they booed the national anthem as they felt that Liverpool was badly treated by the elitist establishment when they were suffering to achieve what others could with better finances......

Meanwhile lording it over Citeh for not being part of the elitist establishment.

YCMIU !
They are weird aren’t they?
They want respect for being ‘European royalty’ then they boo a song which celebrates and glorifies royalty.
