Kick off 19:00.
Don't miss it.

Should be some streams available for this one.

Yes, Sporting seem to be the benchmark in terms of academy development. That being said, we're getting there. Still might get mullered tho.

Nah we're much stronger this season, imo.
We were unbeaten in the league until we recently lost against Spurs away.

Squad according Rawk: Ryan Fulton, Tyrell Belford, Ryan McLaughlin, Stephen Sama, Lloyd Jones, Joe Maguire, Craig Roddan, Cameron Brannagan, Yalany Baio, Jordan Lussey, Daniel Trickett-Smith, Krisztian Adorjan, Ryan Kent, Jordon Ibe, Jack Dunn, Kristoffer Peterson, Jerome SInclair, Adam Morgan

Not our strongest squad, no Coady, Teixeira, Suso, Nacho, Sterling, Wisdom and Sokolic.

Its gonna be tough.

That's our u21s though, this is an u19 tournament, and we've been very inconsistent in the next gen and u18 league this season.

Of those players listed above, only Sama, Roddan, Adorjan, and Morgan have played much of a part for the u21s this season.

Fine, him too. It's not the u21 team that's done so well this season, though. It's far more the u18 side that's struggled.

The thing is you can have three 20 year olds in the squad.
We're also missing Pelosi and Yesil two 19 year olds who would have been on that list and did take part in most U21 games this season.

Starting line up: Fulton, Baio, McLaughlin, Sama, Jones, Roddan, Dunn, Lussey, Morgan, Adorjan, Ibe

Too bad Suso and co aren't available for this game. A bit surprised that Teixeira has been left out as well.

Yah it was Lussey's shot that hit the post. We've imposed ourselves in the last 15 minutes or so but they've always looked dangerous.

Weird decisions in our lineup really, with a bunch of guys playing out of position or out of their comfort zone. McLaughlin being played at LB (and Baio at RB) is probably due to the unavailability of players, but we've Morgan on the left while Ibe starts in the centre, and Dunn on the right instead of in the centre, while Peterson, a natural wide player, doesn't start. Maybe Inglethorpe's just giving guys a run-out in different positions but this just seems like the wrong occasion to do so, against such quality opponents.

Hopefully we'll see guys back in their preferred positions in the 2nd half; it'd give us a proper chance to get back into this game.

There was a piece of skill from Dunn towards the end of the half that was just beautiful. We had a good 10 minutes towards the end of the half, but Sporting Lisbon, as foreseen, are just a serious challenge at this level. We've got some bright sparks all over the pitch, but they have skilled individuals and a cohesion and style that is extremely impressive to see.

We have the individuals to get back into this, but they have the team to make it embarrassing too.

Yeah that Dunn move was breathless. He's had a good game in an unfamiliar position. I'd love to see him play centrally in the 2nd half with Adorjan beside him, and the two of them behind a front trio of Peterson, Morgan and Ibe.

Have to feel for the lads. That's the 4th time in the space of about a year and a half that we've been beaten by them, and each time made to look pretty inferior in all departments. Hopefully our lads will be able to break that streak and get a win over them at this level one day.

They're a good side, no doubt about it. Would've been nice to see them play us with something like a proper defence, though.
