That was my thoughts at first, to be fair.

But I would have felt guilty if it really did happen. Besides, I have nothing against RVP. Seems like a decent guy, for a Manc. I always liked him at Arsenal.
 
I wouldn't mind if he was hit by a moped, or one of those Smart cars. Fuck it, I could live with him being mown by a Ford Ka, and he would too. Probably.
 
Arsenal and Norwich are the ones to concentrate on as Arsenal are near us (kind of) and Norwich would be a solid chance of a win. Would take a draw in the others but would love to win (obviously).

I predict 5 points from it (Arsenal - win, Norwich - draw, City - draw, Utd - loss)
 
We've not been getting the points we deserved from our games against the big boys so far this season, we could easily be outplayed and out-reffed on Sunday but for some reason my optimistic neuron is firing. Lets fucking do these cunts... fuck knows they deserve it.
 
I expect to get 4 points from these four games. Anything over that and I will be pleasantly surprised.

Admittedly, it's at the bottom end of my realism-o-meter. If you spaced these fixtures out then zero points away to Utd, Arsenal and City would be painful but, given our defensive vulnerabilities, not particularly surprising. Throw in a disappointing home draw to Norwich (because we are good at providing sequencing-ending results to crap teams) and you end up with 1 point. It looks worse from 4 consecutive games than if they were spread out.

Anyway, I can only be surprised and delighted if we do better.
 
Thing is, do well enough (7 points?) in this monster set of ties and we're set up for this 8 game run......

Liverpool v West Brom
Liverpool v Swansea
Wigan v Liverpool
Liverpool v Spurs
Southampton v Liverpool
Villa V Liverpool
Liverpool v West Ham
Reading v Liverpool

Get through this 4 game spell with confidence intact/boosted and we could really mount a challenge for 4th. Seriously.
