*ouch*

Arguably our biggest test of the season. Come out of this with 5-6 points we have done well, we want at least 9.. just so we can keep in the hunt for 4th

With these fixtures in mind you can see why it was important to get some transfer businesses done early

When is Borini back?

This run will be a test of character and we will surprise many.

A result at Utd will set us up nicely. Let's hope that Sturridge is fit and ready to fire. All hands on deck for the second half of the season. We need a good run of wins to make up ground.

I'm reckoning on 4 or 5 points max. What a shitty run of fixtures it is, especially as we are coming off the back of a half decent run of results.

You never know though, if we can pull off a win against United, we could carry it on. However, I think they just have too much firepower for our defence.

I think we will not be able to beat Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City. We will probably play well and draw or lose.

I think we have a better chance of a result against City or Arsenal.

6 points

Going on the form of the last few games - 9pts
Not being a prat and going on the form of the overall season - 4pts

It would be like us to fuck up the home game with Norwich. Anything over 6 points from those fixtures is a serious effort. We have actually outplayed all these teams already this season, even if the result wasn't what we wanted in each case. I actually think that it suits us to play against teams who want to play football, but we need to avoid a doing at Utd. Our defending hasn't been good enough this season, and they could really put us to the sword if we don't keep it tight. On the plus side we have Wonderman back and with a few games under his belt and perhaps a confident Stevie G looking at the best we've seen him in 18 months at least. Sturridge gives us more firepower up front, and the chance to vary our attacking formations. This could be interesting, and certainly BR's toughest examination as Liverpool manager thus far.

Everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that Utd, Citeh and the Gooners are all shipping goals. What we actually need to do is take our opportunities and be more clinical. That will guarantee goals and the 3 points every time.

I do think we've had a little bit more luck (deservedly) in the last few games. It has been like us to miss from a plethora of chances and concede a wonder goal, or from a silly lapse. We had a bit of luck against Sunderland, and we could do with a bit of it in these coming games.

United are slow starters: their usual pattern this season has been to start games playing badly and finish strongly. So the most logical thing for me would be for us to start with the most attack-minded lineup possible, hopefully get a 1 or 2 goal cushion, and then be prepared to change tactics completely to try to survive the inevitable 2nd half assault. That's why maybe I would start with Allen and Suso and bring Henderson and Sterling later on.

No Shelvey for this game please.

4 points would be good.

Anything more fantastic.

Anything more than 6 is dreamland stuff but here's hoping.

Allen and Suso? Cant see that being effective against this load. Put the feet that will cover most ground out there, and release additional power if needed later.

Anti-jinx is of paramount importance here.

I'm going to plump for 1 point from 12.

To be honest, with our consistency record, it's fucking impossible to predict how many points we'll get.

0 points.

Suarez will get injured.

Gerrard will get sent off at Old Toilet (again).

Sturridge will insisit on taking a penalty and miss and everyone will say "I fucking knew he was a cock" etc...

Carragher will score an own-goal and Modo will say "Something something told you something something Sami something".

I actually think the away games to the Gunners and the Mancs may not be as difficult, as in I don't think losses are necessarily nailed on. These guys came to Anfield and killed us with counter attacks scything through our soft centre, but at home, they won't be playing that way, which means our central midfield has time to set up and defend. With Sterling, Suarez and Sturridge, we've arguably our fastest front line in ages, and in his current form, Gerrard is a fabulous weapon in igniting counters with his passes from deep. I think if we play our cards right and return them the favour by hitting them on the counter, we could actually get a result. Especially since these teams are just as soft defensively down the middle as us.

The other thing to watch out for is Wisdom. As well as the lad played yesterday, he was woeful in a couple of set piece situations. Twice he got blindsided by the opponent sneaking in behind him at the far post - thankfully, McClean pulled his shot just wide in the first instance and the second attempt was well-saved by Reina. This isn't the first time that this has happened with Wisdom, and it's probably symptomatic of a centreback playing as a fullback. Regardless, this vulnerability would not have been lost on any watching scouts - if he's playing in these two games, we really need him to wise up because these opponents, and especially the Mancs, have guys who will properly finish those chances.

He was 4 v 1 during the second free kick (the one Reina saved), Skittles deserves a lot of the blame for ball watching. I don't know who else was at fault without watching the goal again, but it blatantly wasn't Wisdom (unless he was playing them onside, which I don't think he was as I think he was in-line with the 2 other defenders, but if he was I will happily stand corrected).

EDIT: Found the video, he was in line. Seriously, what were you expecting him to do in that position
