Seriously, Benitez should turn in his resignation now. Just a big fuck you to that cunt of an owner.

What a win from Rafa.

Goes to show, the pressure can get to anyone.

Tomorrow has become the biggest game of the season so far. Bigger than the City game now. With CIty, there was no pressure to win. It was a free hit. This is a MUST WIN. I hope the lads are energised and we send out a statement win.

4-0 would do nicely.

It's huge but if we lose it's as you are.

Would be amazing to have a 7 point buffer with Chelsea, Spurs, Utd and Everton to play.

After today though no team will fear City. That's 3 of the lesser teams to turn them over.

Yes Rafa! Perfect timing for Arsenal, Ev and Chelsea to kick them whilst they’re down.

I swear I haven't laughed so hard at Peps reaction to the pen since 2001 and I saw some young lovely actually slip on a banana skin in Piccadilly square in central mancland. Not counting my bananas just yet though. Still tomorrow (and the rest of the fucking season!) 🥷

Holy mother of fuck. I didn't watch the match. I didn't even keep checking the scores. I've only just done so.

Fuck me!

Massive opportunity tomorrow.

Tricky match, against opposition who have taken points from our closest rivals already this season, who love to play on the counter, who have a manager with a decent record against us, along with a striker who always seems to score against us, a few injuries plus a suspension reaking havok with our team, & the pressure of knowing we can extend the points gap with a win.

If we somehow win tomorrow it will be a HUGE sign that we are mentally prepared to go the distance this season.

The narrative was that City would sweep all in front of them. They wouldn't drop points.

We would be the first to crack.

We can drop points down the line, at Old Trafford or Chelsea/Spurs, but we can't tomorrow. It would be a mental blow given what's happened tonight. It's the first game tomorrow where i think there will be genuine pressure. Both in the crowd and on the players.

Tomorrow, it would be nice if could send out a statement win that we are not feeling the pressure.

What we can't have is another Arsenal 4-4 game where we choke. Or a Stoke 0-0. Or a Chelsea 2-0.

If we can go 7pts clear, one more slip up from City (ahead of Arsenal, Everton, Spurs) and they will probably start prioritising the CL with their selections.

My thoughts exactly. It will be a tricky match tomorrow and doubly so because of the City result – it seems when they play first they put additional pressure on us regardless of the whether they win, lose or draw. It will be a test of mental strength for many of our players, particularly with Milner not there.
