Express saying this:

Ochoa was one of the stars of the World Cup last summer and had also been linked with a move to Arsenal.

But the 29-year-old instead opted for a move to Spain after leaving French side Ajaccio on a free transfer.

Things have not gone as planned for the stopper in La Liga however, and reports suggest that he will now be on the move in January.

Javi Gracia continues to prefer Carlos Kameni in goal, and it is now claimed that Ochoa will make the move to Anfield next month.

Ochoa was a target for Liverpool in the summer, when he was a free agent, but ended up joining Malaga instead – where he has since struggled.

Was just about to quote the same thing from the mirror. I think you're right, sadly we've fallen away far enough that Chelsea would probably be fine about lending us Cech for the rest of the season

Liverpool are making an audacious bid to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech on loan.
Brendan Rodgers will press through with his plans to bring in a genuine rival foraxed number one Simon Mignolet, and Chelsea have not dismissed completely the idea of a loan for Cech.

They now don't see Liverpool as a rival in this season's title race, and with the Redsout of the Champions League, a move for Cech could help Jose Mourinho's side.

He would be prevented from playing at Stamford Bridge, but would be available for matches against Manchester City, United and Arsenal if a deal could be agreed.

The Anfield club have also been linked with a January move for Barcelona right back Martin Montoya after the Spanish international's agent said the defender has asked to leave the Nou Camp in the transfer window.

Speaking yesterday, the player's representative Juande Dios Carrasco said: "He is going to go in January and all that has to be done is to reach an agreement with Barcelona.

Chelsea have 2 of the best keepers in the league. If one of them is available we should do what it takes to get him.
