Disappointed he hasn't seen any first team action yet. It's about time we start blooding him. He'd put some real pressure on Johnson for his RB/RWB birth.

The fact that flanno seems ahead of him says that rodgers feels he's a long way ready for the first team.

I think Rodgers is fairly close to giving McLaughlin a go. He probably thought that the Arsenal game was too big for his debut, but he's certainly not far away. Martin O'Neill is currently trying to get him to declare for the Republic. There's no secret about how well he's doing.

I clutching at the straw that the only reason he hasn't been sent out on loan yet is that (as Macca says) he's close to getting a 1st team chance.

I've seen very very little of this lad, but from what I have witnessed - he looks very light of frame and I'm not sure how he'd handle the physical nature of the Premier League.

Can anyone who's watched him regularly tell me if this is a realistic concern?

He is? Wow, explains the NI snub.

Wasn't Glenjo's facial infection, or whatever it was, a last minute type thing anyways? I was thinking Flanagan was just the more convenient option asst that point.
