Manchester United v Liverpool Match Thread

United sitting back but ready to break when we turn it over. They are defending comfortably and we've not offered much going forward

Either Keita or Shaq would have been a better sub for Bobby.
Shaq every day of the week

So much room down the right - move Millie to LB and bring on Trent for the injured Robbo.

We need Shaq on early to build pressure and use the ball better in their half. United struggling but they will keep getting chances

0-0 HT

Very start stop in the first half. As Klopp has shouted many times from the touchline; calm down. Hopefully a good team talk sets us up for a good 2nd half.

Very poor from us.
If we dont get three points here against a team with no Mata, Matic, Martial, Herrera, Jones, Lingard we dont deserve the fucking league.

Really poor decisions, final ball etc.

Way to give Solksjaer an easy team talk.

Yup

Zero positives from us

keep snapping at rashford
get milner off for taa
calm the fuck down and get settled

shame we didn't put keita on for firmino though

I don't think we've been too bad. Losing Firmino, even an out of form Firmino, is a blow, just because of his movement and work rate. This is Studge's last chance to show he can still be effective. It would have been a gamble, but sending on Keita to buzz round the other two strikers would at least have retained some energy and confused their defence.

When Trent is out, his accuracy at crossing suddenly shoots up. The reality is he hasn't been that reliable in recent times. But Milner is putting in his usual shift. TAA presumably can come on when they're tiring.

Salah does my head n sometimes this season. His slack passing is really odd, considering how good it can be.

Fabinho - what a signing he's starting to seem.

we have been a bit too eager to cover for each other and rushing back, suddenly our midfielders are too deep when pogba comes late from midfield
need to be more positionally smart

Yea Fabinho and Alisson have been very good.

I would have been tempted to bring on Keita for Firmino but play him as most advanced of the midfield three, move Henderson back, and ask wijnaldum to play the Firmino role.

Guessing its because he wanted a striker on, and not to change the other positions to accomodate the sub.

We've been shite, good possession but Milner and the forwards have been piss poor. They've had the two best chances of the game, despite their injury woes, we need to fucking wakeup, we ain't winning the title in this lacklustre form. Should have brought Shaqiri on and put Salah up front.

That was exactly what I expected. Sturridge was not what expected.

Keita's been crap as the most advanced midfielder, he's starting finding form playing deeper. It should have been Shaqiri.

He brought studge on like for like as it was too early to change his favoured formation,no change midway through second half and I’m sure he’ll change it.
