I dislike the idea of this game immensely. It's written in the stars they'll get a comfy 0-2
My feeling, too. Too many talking heads are referring to last year result while forecasting our penchant for playing struggle teams into form.

Did you not watch Gakpo playing behind the front three to start the season? Ineffective and invisible are just two words I'd use to describe his performances.

Yep - earlier this season he was more of an eight than an advanced midfielder and got lost. It was also early on in the season. With two holding progressive passers behind him If wager Gakpo can do a decent job linking a fluid attack together, especially against a weak United midfield.

Every midfield we’ve played has managed to waltz through ours with ease. The problem isn’t when we have the ball. It’s when we lose it which we routinely do. Very few of our midfielders then have the sense to sniff danger and recover the ball or slip back to defend the attack. That’s why Endo, limited player he may be, is required.

Not for me. He either starts in the false 9 (Nunez out left) or on the bench.

United are shit but I don't want them being able to carve through our midfield because we lack the numbers.

I’m fucking bricking it. Really dont like the over confidence.

Do not fear child, our over confidence will evaporate inside the first ten minutes, so you should not needlessly worry yourself about such short lived and self resolving problems.

Not saying Elliott should start, but would not be very surprised. I could see Klopp doing that. We will see soon.

Confirmed line up. I'm predicting a 2-1 win

Very aggressive midfield choice. Could be the game that wins people over to grav.

Hopefully someone in red writes their name in to positive folklore tonight

I certainly want to be more excited about Grav. He can make the game look easy, but also comes and goes. Today could be the day where he really takes off. I hope so.

I also expect United to go after Endo. He will be fine as long as others provide options for him.

Today would have been nice for a more conventional DM double pivot

Who McTominay? Mainoo? They aren’t fielding a scary set of Mids

Betfair bet builder…

Amrabat / McTominay / Evans / Konate / Endo - 2 fouls are more accumulator (+ Trent 1 foul) = 37/1

Get on…

Today’s Anfield attendance (57,158) is the Reds biggest for any home game since Burnley in F.A. Cup in February 1963 (57,906). It is the 3rd biggest at home in their league history and the highest since 58,757 against Chelsea in December 1949.
