In fairness to him , some of his battling today ...if that was mascherano we'd all be creaming over it . He's somehow become a strong little git , he wins so many 50-50s and battered Yaya a few times today . And he even wins most things in the air also.

He does still look to be improving , i just hope he can maybe add a bit more offensively against the so called 'weaker' teams (yeah yeah not his job) and cut out some of the very poor games he has from time to time.

when he ran back and completely bossed out Yaya was epic and some of his passing was Alonso-esc. I said two weeks ago he'd need 10 or so games playing really great to define himself as one of the best in the premier league. Two games later he's right on track and to be fair the commentators are picking right up on his form. Brilliant Lucas.
 
He has improved all aspects of his game. Upped the tempo of his passing, winning more tackles and not to mention headers. He should add a few goals to his game to make the next step up.

It wasn't just his disruptive workrate today, his passing was excellent too. The lad did well.
 
Best performance ever in a Liverpool shirt from him today I thought.

Passing, tackling, positioning, movement, heading. Everything was near perfect. So very happy to see him becoming a great player.

Adam looks so comfortable playing for one of the world's most famous clubs, it's staggering. Those two together have come out on top two games in a row against two top club sides that have spent money far beyond any other team in history. I'm shocked.

That's looking pretty damn impressive. Wouldn't have thought much of that team had I seen it in the summer. All because of the pair of midfielders exceeding all expectations.
God, I hope Gerrard will be okay. Could you imagine how much better we would have been vs Man C had we had Gerrard in there instead of Ordinary Jo?

Anyway, this is a Lucas thread and I'm happy to say I am now definitely a Lucas fan.

No. No one should be getting thanked for lucas.

His effort and determination to continue to develop and improve his game is a testament to his character, not anyone else.

He has had so many chances to pack it in with us and try to engineer a move anywhere else where he's not known as "cunt" or people groan when he is on the team sheet

The lad is fundamentally what young lads should aspire to be. He may not be the best, but by fuck he's all heart and he has worked on every facet of his game.

That's isn't true, he's playing much better. He just wasn't playing as bad as people made our back then.

He was poor for a long time as he was growing and learning the league and the style of play.

He was our player of the season last year, and he was one of our mot consistent if not best players during Rafa's last season. That people are finally giving him props now, just tells me they are two years too late, not that Lucas has got that much better.
 
He just keeps on improving and today was by far his best performance in the shirt.
The speed of his passing is getting better game on game too.

The speed of his passing is a good point. He'd be accurate previously, but hit it painfully slowly.

I don't care what he was. I know he's becoming a good player and he was fucking boss today
