Silver Sean will be at the match everybody.

A touch unnecessary...

But the role that I think he [Coutinho] will start the season is on the left. One of the reasons why I think he is going to be on the left at the moment is because I think Brendan Rodgers is looking at playing Stevie, Joe Allen and Lucas as a 3 really. I prefer to see him as a Number 10 really with just 2 of them."
I couldn't agree more, Carra.

Is this the official game thread or what?

I can not believe the season starts tomorrow! I´m very excited (as always) about the coming season...will I ever learn?

They're just jealous Sean.
As far as I can tell 'superfan' means someone who is actually a supporter who goes to games and spends time and money to follow the team all over the country. Am I missing something? I genuinely have no idea what the fuck these people are on about. I must have missed an internet meeting. Any chance you can illuminate me so I can cause even more offence to strangers in an internet forum in the future?

Nah, a superfan is one who does that but also rubs it in the noses of those who can't go & belittles their opinion because of it. Imo anyway.

You're not in that category.

Incidentally I think there are some factors that match goers do know more than tv watchers, simply cos movement & attitude off the ball are all important & you simply don't see that on telly.

I often changed my opinion on a players attitude following seeing him work off the ball on one of my now sadly rare trips to Anfield.

Seconded.

Jamo was the superfan type of twat. Shoe horning how often he went to games in threads where it just wasnt relevant.

I can't go to games mate because I live far away - I've now started going while on business trips to London. Not all of us are lucky enough to be 'there,' or have the financial capabilities to enjoy the team live like you do.

I don't think Sean is having a go mate. Someone had a pop about him being a superfan in the first place.

I appreciate that. I live a three and half hour drive each way (not trying to compare that with flying or whatever, just saying). I don't have a problem with those who are passionate about the club but are not lucky enough to be able to go. I'm asking a genuine question as to what this 'superfan' thing is.
I know a guy who lives in Chester, has done all his life, and he acts like it's the end of the world every time we lose, but he's never, ever made the effort to go, not even once. I hate the twat. He constantly pontificates on the club and yet has never taken the time, or made the effort to go. He has enough money, not married, no kids. To me that's a 'superfan'.
Please enlighten me.

I think Superfan is someone who rubs it in the face of others that he goes to games etc ... We had a poster who did that once, but then he left.

I think your mate has some of the credentials of a superfan, but I also think there are people who go to the game who have a superiority complex over people who don't and look down upon them. Not everyone can go to the game and I'm lucky enough to have been going to games for 30 years (superfan alert!!!) but I consider myself exceptionally lucky to have had the experiences I've had. I never take going to the game for granted because for every 45000 who there's probably ten times as many who would like to go but can't because of distance or cost.

Anyway, not sure where I'm going with this, but I don't think you're a superfan but you are a super fan 😉

He's just a fucking bellend.

I haven't the money to go & haven't done for a couple of years, fuck, I've rarely got the money to go for a pint to watch it with mates.

I live close enough to hear the kop though, I stand at my patio doors & join in with YNWA before the match then go inside to watch it. It reminds me what it feels like to be there.
