AAAaaaah im only up to Royal Flash. Fantastic stuff isnt it. James Bond of an era past.....with cowardice thrown in.I'm even more confused than normal now. On side note I was up till about 2am last night reading Flashman's Lady.

Incidentally I read a couple of your blogs (which marry to the subject here within that holds interest to me for a number of reasons). I have been in all the bookshops you mention (and Shakespeare and Co in Paris is a great one you didnt) and I agree and hope that they will see a resurgence much in the way a lot of independent record stores are now. I grew up working in record shops, from a tiny wee age, and still spend as much time in them (for what they are worth nowadays) as I can, likewise bookstores. Soulful and beautiful places. The problem is a life in general problem though not a cost. People see themselves as too busy, too involved in the trappings of their (created) life to bother with HA shopping. The internet is the lazy option. I hate it for that. Fuck I hate the internet in general.
But regarding kindles. You are wrong. I own hundreds and hundreds of books and will not stop buying them or reading them, but in much the same way I still own a record collection, my iPod sits alongside that. It wont replace it, but I love both. I got a kindle for my birthday recently and I have been like you 'NO NO NO' but its great. I took it on holiday and read the complete works of Sherlock Holmes. A book I would never have taken with me had I not bought it on Kindle (for 79p). I would have taken Flashman or something else small and packable. And I dont have a problem with paying 79p for a book by a dead author, and can content myself because it wont stop me paying 7.99 for the book of a living one.
My deleted post was deleted because I realised that I was in the middle of justifying my family's history to someone I don't know or care about. And I was using some language about you that I would have regretted had I pressed send.
Not sure what you mean by my sense of humour.
If you're that obsessed with me you can read about Kenny waking me out my coma after Hillsborough here.
Or read my blog on my involvement in Hillborough here
Or you can just fuck off.
I think an internet blogger is fully aware of their digital footprint mate. You might want to delete those links as well Sean. Giving too much away on an internet forum mate.

I can't read the blog here (bloody censorship) but I was thinking of the family name in the other link. Though you're right of course.
I have a sneaky feeling Alberto will start in the middle, hopefully ahead of Lucas as BR will be looking for goals.
Where are you living? It's funny living in UK now I never think about censorship. Amazing how easy it is to forget the freedoms we have here.
Well, my Dad died a few years ago, my sister is married, and my Mum remarried. I'm the only one left with that surname. Even the wife kept her own name!

Anyone else bricking it? Fucking hell I'm nervous and excited. Must win and a good start is needed.
I think you will find that Sherlock Holmes is a fictional character & not an author and so there is no "complete works" of his. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, now, is another matter altogether.AAAaaaah im only up to Royal Flash. Fantastic stuff isnt it. James Bond of an era past.....with cowardice thrown in.

To much to ask for us to just score a couple in the first 10 mins to settle us
We can dream. Sturridge 1st half trick would be perfect withi think we will.
Pedantry is frowned upon in my book.....no pun intended.I think you will find that Sherlock Holmes is a fictional character & not an author and so there is no "complete works" of his. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, now, is another matter altogether.
I bought my wife a Kindle for Christmas and I have hardly put it down since. Last week I was reading a paperback and found myself tapping the page instead of turning it ....
