I live close enough to hear the kop though, I stand at my patio doors & join in with YNWA before the match then go inside to watch it. It reminds me what it feels like to be there.

That's pretty cool actually. Goose-bumps before the match starts, luverly !

You see more at the game. Thats a fact. You can analyze all you want on the TV but seeing the whole pitch is the only reasonable way of assessing the players.
Every time I go the game (not as often as it used to be granted) I get a far better perception of certain players.

Kinda. It's kinda like hugging the girl you love then watching her fuck your mates though.

Not quite that extreme, (obviously!) but although it's nice, it hurts too.

I agree to a point. At home you only get to see what the cameras shows you, which obviously means you're missing out on a lot. As FFF said, I've gone to games that give me a whole new perspective on certain players. But then you do miss stuff at the game too because you can't see up close, don't have replays and what not. I often come out of Anfield feeling like I need to watch the game again or at least the highlights, which is why I generally prefer to watch the game at home as there are less distractions - maybe I'm just weird like that.

Paddy Power it's refunding bets where the favourite team doesn't win.

I think we'll draw. But betting on one and two nil seems pretty safe with that offer

Definitely the detail and replays yeah.

I agree.

He's just a fucking bellend.

I haven't the money to go & haven't done for a couple of years, fuck, I've rarely got the money to go for a pint to watch it with mates.

He is.

That's quite nuts that you live close enough to join in YNWA!

I understand now, rubbing the faces of people who would love to be there in it. I get it. It's shite that you can't go. Must be torture sometimes.

I think your mate has some of the credentials of a superfan, but I also think there are people who go to the game who have a superiority complex over people who don't and look down upon them. Not everyone can go to the game and I'm lucky enough to have been going to games for 30 years (superfan alert!!!) but I consider myself exceptionally lucky to have had the experiences I've had. I never take going to the game for granted because for every 45000 who there's probably ten times as many who would like to go but can't because of distance or cost.

Anyway, not sure where I'm going with this, but I don't think you're a superfan but you are a super fan 😉

I also feel incredibly lucky. I suppose it's a thin line between talking about being there for so many amazing moments and sounding like a billy big bollocks giving it the 'I'm better than you'. Never my intention I can assure you.
I also forget how many people would desperately love to go but can't. I'm also jaded to the fact there are internet warriors who purport to support the club, when actually all they want to do is use the internet as a babbling, drooling instrument of their own inadequacies, and in the process denigrate the club and its genuine supporters. I left TLW forum because of cunts like that. Utter weapons sitting in some bedroom in Oslo or wherever just attacking everything I hold dear just to try and stand out or get a rise from everyone. Despicable twats. (I'm not having a go at all LFC fans who live in Oslo!)

Not weird at all in my book. They are two totally different ways of seeing the same thing. I also enjoy seeing things I missed at the game on TV later on. The main difference for me is the movement and patterns of play that you see from behind the goal live that are not apparent on TV. The main danger is that once I see a goal on TV my memory of it in the flesh tends to fade and I then remember it as it is on the TV.

I mean in terms of an understanding as to whats actually going on in a game. You whoppers don't even know what to look at.

Cheering slide tackles that give away throw ins n shit.
Is that the on the arse kinda tackle? I get confused.

Your deleted post gave me some clues.
The lack of a sense of humour is a dead giveaway.

My deleted post was deleted because I realised that I was in the middle of justifying my family's history to someone I don't know or care about. And I was using some language about you that I would have regretted had I pressed send.

Not sure what you mean by my sense of humour.

If you're that obsessed with me you can read about Kenny waking me out my coma after Hillsborough here.

Or read my blog on my involvement in Hillborough here

Or you can just fuck off.
