Watching the game and then coming on here you really do see peoples pre concieved views come to the fore.
Spearing is getting slated by a lot of you but tonight he did a solid job, some great positions to break up their play, played it nice and simple (yes, he misplaced a few, name a player who didn't) and generally kept the ball moving. Yet reading what a load of you lot have written you would have thought he he did nothing....Look at the other 3 midfielders, the ball players, the creators they have been even worse. He did a good job tonight.

I thought spearing did really well & looked better than last season tbh.
I still don't think he's good enough to hold down a first team place, but for the squad, definitely.
