I vaguely remember making this and posting it with the tag 'the muppets'

Obviously jealous I couldn't make it

@Piedro

I'm not ignoring the fact you said you'd be in town pre match, just obv you'd need to leave about 4 which is about when I'll be getting into town.

We'll be in town afterwards if you're out though!

Yeah no biggie mate, I’d have to leave around 4pm to get to the ground. I may be out afterwards, I’ll let you know!

I think we might see one or two changes in the line up. Seems like the right type of game to try it out.

Shaqiri, Henderson and Sturridge would be good. Who do you rest though? It's an interesting dilemma.

Milner has to start ... i just love watching him do that power running and stuff. Sometimes he reminds me of SG.

I was actually thinking the fella needs a fucking rest.

Yeah, he's boss. He's also nearly 40. No matter how fit he is, playing him constantly now means he'll inevitably need more of a rest later in the season, or be much less effective if we're forced to play him.

We have a few midfielders who could play, so I'd be surprised if he starts a third game on the bounce.

Hes in my team Jon. So fuck you.

I know, I keep calling him nearly 40 (sometimes nearly 50) to make a point. Assumed people had got onto it. Obv not.

He is the fittest as those beep run things show, but cos he's older there's no fucking way his recovery rate isn't gonna be longer than the younger players over the course of a season.

Then you have the fact that he runs more than another player in the entire fucking league (based on last two weeks).

I just think it makes sense to rest him occasionally, & against a side that we've battered by 5 the last couple of seasons. We have at least three other midfielders who can come in for him, makes more sense to me to do it now, rather than risk him being burned out or in dire need of a rest when we get to the stage of the season where we have midweek games continually.

I'd rest him if it meant we were spending that time cloning him and not just allowing him to do fuck all useful.

Haha.

Fuck another Milner would be boss. I think West Ham & Palace were convinced we had two of of him on the pitch anyway though!

A team of Milners would be a fearsome thing. I reckon they'd win the league. And all the cups.

I've a mate here who's an arsenal fan, he said when we signed him that Milner would be a great signing. I thought he would be decent, not this good!

One game a week at the moment.
Behave.

International break coming too.

Rest him when the CL starts

Paddy Power have their 'if Liverpool win money back promo on'.

Only select markets, but includes first goalscorer, & VVD is a huge 20/1.

Maximum bet for money back is a tenner. I've only got a fiver spare so threw that on.

Thought some of you may be interested as it seems a no brainer for me.
