Liverpool v Wolverhampton Wanderers

We need to score early.... Send a message..

Or the alternative.. they concede early, we score.. they then start making stupid decisions and get Ederson sent off for what can only be described as a brutal challenge on Murray.. they have used all their substitutes with 20 mins remaining, sterling decides to go in goal, they concede the penalty.. 2-nil Brighton

Mean while at Anfield Liverpool concede with 6 minutes remaining, 1-1.. cue hysteria down at Brighton from the city fans as City also pull one back... City however appear to take their foot of the gas after scoring, and proceed to concede another late on into injury time.. thinking the title is won regardless

3-1 to Brighton

Deep into injury time at Anfield you a can feel the anxiety suddenly followed by elation.. It's a Penalty to Liverpool!!!!! This is the moment..

On replays the penalty however is touch and go. Salah appears to be chopped down by Coady but on closer inspection contact is minimal... Very debatable penalty...

Milner steps up.. penalty saved, incredible save infact, rebound though is pounced on by Trent Alexander Arnold and it's a Gooooooaaaaaaallllll

He is yellow carded for the celebration as he jumps into the Kop and crowd surf's

Liverpool are on the verge of winning the title..

2-1 Liverpool

Back down in Brighton news filters through from the stands, Liverpool have scored.. tempers flare with seconds Remaining.. Guardiola is sent to the stands as a result

Full time whistle at both grounds, Liverpool are league champions

We gave Mystic shit about dual screening champions league ties, but I think I may just do it today (for the first time ever)
Was thinking this earlier. Sky always take a minute or two to update scores, & streaming is even more laggy. I don't want to listen on the radio & watch our match as it awkward, but is obv an option (thankfully I still have one old style radio in the house just used for decorating, as the delay on online radio is worse than a video stream (it's almost two minutes at times!)

I could run our match on the projector & their on the TV, but to get it live I'd have to run a hdmi cable from the cable box in the other room to the av receiver which is a lot of messing, & possibly bad luck as I've not watched any of our games on the projector.

As such I think I'm gonna just put the other match on in the toy room, I can see that if I look over (glass doors) so I can keep an eye on it without distracting from our match.

I'll probably stream their game (muted) on a tablet on Table while watching ours on a stream on the telly.

I think the CL result does actually have an impact today.

If we hadn't have won it'd mean the players would be under immense pressure as it was their only chance at anything, yet know that it still wasn't in their own hands.

The atmosphere would have been arguably as much nerves as anything, for the fans it would be the same. Of course there'll still be loads of nerves today, but knowing we have Madrid in a few weeks after thinking we'd lost the chance will mean there's a good reason to celebrate, & hopefully help generate a great atmosphere of defiance & celebration.

Then you have the effect on that lot in Brighton. Their team & fans will once again be thinking "They just won't go away, they don't fucking stop, we just can't seem to beat this fucking side". If that introduces just a bit of doubt or nerves in the side & the fans it may, just may, be enough to spoil their attitudes & their game.

I think we've seen the effect on City the last few games - Pep has looked agitated and nervous, and its seeped into this team ... Heck 4 CBs against Burnley?!?! They're nervous but they're winning every game regardless ... That's how good they are ... Worthy champions unfortunately if they don't fuck up.

When it comes to the crunch strange things happen golfers miss easy putts and snooker players can’t pot the most simple of shots. City players could suffer the same in front of goal.

Yeah, it sounds daft considering they've won a gazillion games on the bounce and are huge favourites to win the league now, but the pressure has definitely took its toll on the club and Pep.

I think we get to him. Just look at that clip of him shitting himself ahead of the Champions League games against us last year.

Already prepping the TV for split screen view.

What are those wooden boxes for
They tell you to enjoy life. In case you forget.

People often forget these things. They sometimes have reminders to 'Live, Love, Laugh' on the walls.

I've even got a friend who's wife has the word 'BATH' spelled out in large letters above the bath in case she forgets the name of it.

I suggested she add 'TOILET' above the toilet too, but she hasn't done so yet. That must stick in the memory that word.

Middle box has all the cords in a container...I have a Roomba you see so there are no cords below the TV.

The box on the left has all my playstation stuff, I mean since the the PS4 is on top of it.

The box on the right has all my DVDs, CDs and BR's.

My mate's missus was into that - had "Love", "Family" and crap like that spelt out in big china or wooden letters all over the house. Every tiem I styaed they would get rearranged into obscenities (with a few handwritten letters to fill the gaps). I don't think she found it funny

If there's one thing that would make me hate everything even more, it's definitely a wallpaper or a wooden box telling me to enjoy life

On me way to meet Woland now, few pints then off to the ground. Today is the day lads.

I was contemplating taking my earphones and listening to 5 live commentary on the city game, just like the old days. But fuck it, I’ll just stick my live score goal alerts on. Buzzing for that murmur that goes around the ground when Brighton score!

@Modo well done, I think your photo successfully killed all the anxiety in this thread

Here for the boxes and Buffy talk - Charisma Carpenter was the best but which one from Charmed would get it first? Has to be Alyssa Milano

I remember the murmur that went around the ground when Villa conceded late on, while we were beating QPR at home to win no.18, it was enhanced by a few plus points:
  • the guy who sat behind us with a tranny & earphones, who'd annoyed the fuck out of us all season calling out random scores, couldn't tell us what was happening as his batteries had gone flat
  • the group beside us who always left early to beat the traffic, had just left saying "We'll see us win it on Wednesday" (the day of our next fixture)
