I agree – some of the passes back to Mignolet yesterday were completely unnecessary, with Skrtel a particular culprit. I think it was nerves more than anything else. This is why Can is so important to our ability to build intelligently from the back, he has total confidence in his ability on the ball.

Sakho too does that on the left, though Can is much better bringing the ball out of defense and has the option on him to run with the ball. I wonder if Ilori can succeed Skrtel in the longer run in the middle.

Sorry to be the one to break it to you. Haven't you heard the news about Ilori?......

Watch it again. Watch the lad two rows back. He lifts himself off the sit to fart, smirk and sit back down and let poor Ivanovic carry all the blame. Tactical farting at it's finest. He mugged poor Ivanovic off there.

The reason I say it's nerves is because I didn't see it too much in the last few games – I was generally happy how we were building from the back through Can and Sakho. But under mostly psychological pressure from Chelsea some bad old habits resurfaced.

I actually disagree with this for one fundamental reason ... we toasted them and they had only two shots during the whole match. So whatever they did ... they did right.

Nah. She's wafting well before he raises his cheeks.

No way am I watching it again now. You shall not ruin my beautiful memory.

It looks as if the guy alongside her pushes Ivanovic forward off the barrier. I don't think he actually does, but it's a nice thought.

Plastic flag fans need to try and summon a quarter of the energy of Anfield
Jose Mourinho has spoken again about the big-game atmosphere at Anfield – and urged his Chelsea fans to try to produce just a percentage of it for next week’s League Cup semi decider at Stamford Bridge. The Chelsea manager, who in 2005, famously said he had “felt the power of Anfield” during the legendary Champions League semi-final second leg, will clash with the Reds yet again next Tuesday with a Capital One League Cup final place at stake. Last night’s 1-1 draw has left the tie in the balance and the Portuguese manager wants his supporters to try to follow in the footsteps of those at Anfield to help secure that March 1 date at Wembley. The game in pictures: VIEW GALLERY Mourinho, whose first trophy in England was a League Cup final victory over Liverpool in Cardiff in 2005, was critical of Chelsea fans following November’s win over QPR, saying he felt his side were playing in an “empty stadium”. He believes a partisan crowd can make a big difference next week against Brendan Rodgers’ visitors. Speaking on Chelsea TV, Mourinho said: “It was a two-leg semi-final, now it’s a one-leg semi-final. That says a lot. “Two legs is difficult, Anfield is difficult and with this result we transform a two-leg semi-final into a one-leg semi-final at Stamford Bridge. “If Stamford Bridge can give us 25% of the emotion Anfield gives Liverpool, I think we can do it. Liverpool, instead of 40,000 fans, they will have five or 10 (thousand). “Chelsea, instead of 1,000, will have 40,000. I hope that can make a difference in the atmosphere.” Might be a job for those “famous plastic flags” then...

Exactly. He piggybacked Ivanovic's fart. He saw his opportunity to sneak out his fart and let Ivanovic take the entire blame. It's opportunistic farting.

Fart From A Madding Crowd!

The more Maureen tries to come up with a 'clever' comment, the less comprehensible it becomes. I stared at this one for a while this morning. It could mean anything.

To transform the two-leg semi-final into a one-leg semi-final at Stamford Bridge is obviously better for us, because this stadium plays. People don’t come to this stadium to see football, they come to play football. They cannot kick the ball because they are in the stands but they come to play.”

Oh dear God *holds head in hands*.

The fart quips are going to keep coming now aren't they ? A bit like Sunday morning after the Saturday night out ale & curry.

Cue for a song. Should it be "Every Little Breeze Seems To Whisper 'Louise" or "I Just Blew In From The Windy City"?

Anyone watching the other semi?

Spurs looking shit as per usual. I don't think I've seen them have a good game in about 3 years. They're so ponderous and fucking snide little divers.

Harry Kane - he's been on a hot streak but that's all it is. Average player who rates himself above his ability.
