Nahh. Clyne, Firmino, Coutinho, Sturridge I reckon. Can and Hendo would have to replace Dembele and Dier maybe? Our two are pretty average.
Being generous and not quibbling the inclusion of Henderson over Dier, or wondering how Coutinho, Firmino and Sturridge all play, given that Delle Ali and Kane are certain starters in any combined team, I'm still not convinced
And quite bemused that given we are apparently a better team, why Spurs have finished above us 6 seasons out of the last 7

Could you list your combined starting XI as I am struggling to see how you're making room for all of them.
Flanno has been pretty poor his last couple of games. We've also missed the pace of Moreno. I'd rather have the Spanish chipmunk back.
..some might argue that Eriksen also would be a certain starter?
For me Lloris, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Alli, Kane and Eriksen are all pretty nailed on to start.
Rose, Dembele, Dier (though I'd pick Can here) and even Son could be argued as better than our alternatives too.
I'm not sure what the last seven seasons have to do with this season, but if you're going down that route, surely a much better question would be, why are you so confident they'll beat us, when they've managed a single draw in our last six meetings? That question seems far more relevant seeing as my original point was, that whilst Spurs have been a much more consistent side than us this season, I believe we can beat them if both our teams play at their best.

..I don't think Spurs fancy playing us either, we have given them some heavy beating over the past couple of Seasons.
I'm not making from for all of them as some of pretty close / depend on the formation played.

or lose Eriksen / Firmino, drop Delli Ali back and play Sturridge and Kane upfront.
Either way, the point was that Brendan was trying to paint Spurs as a much better team than us, but it's just not true, we're very close, with Spurs having a much better defence, and us having more cutting edge. That consistent defence is the reason Spurs are doing so well this season.
I just want to quote this table again because it's one of the most beautiful things I've seen this month.
Eriksen has over the Season created thrice the amount of chances compared to Coutinho. Just saying like.
Also, picking Sturridge over Kane seems more on merit than on form. Sturridge might be just as good or even better, but surely not this Season where's he's been mostly injured and out of shape?
I don't think we have more 'cutting edge' either compared to Spurs and in general their team has a far better balance than ours at the moment. We do hold the upper hand however in recent years why I guess we could very well beat them again, but we really need all our players to perform - and some of theirs not too.
Yes, we have more cutting edge. As evidenced by the fact that Spurs have scored 11 more goals than us, and Kane has scored more than Sturridge, Benteke and Firmino put together.

I think actual Premiership tables are a better indication of how good a team is.
It's evidence of how well that team has performed over an entire season; the better the team is, the higher they finish. It's one of the most fundamental indicators of quality, really.
And we've finished above Spurs exactly once in the last 7 seasons.

I believe we do, like I've said multiple times, Spurs have been more consistent than us, and have been less effected by injuries whilst having their best season in years, as we've been having a very average one, yet they only have nine more goals in two extra games than us, do you think that gap would even be their if Sturridge was fit? I know that's a big if, but my argument was always if both teams were at their best. Put simply, if both our teams are fully fit and playing at their best, I think ours has the more dangerous attack, and I think most people would agree.

That's only because they really only have one striker, Harry Kane. Admittedly he has scored more goals in just under two seasons than Sturridge has in his entire career, but I still think they probably need to buy another striker to take the pressure off.
But you seem to be concentrating on this season, in which they are miles ahead of us and will finish above us, as if it's some kind of weird outlier, and not a true reflection of the quality of the teams, and that we've been held back by form, injury, managerial changes, fucking blah blah blah.
Why did they finish above us in 2009/10?
And 2010/11?
And 2011/12?
And 2012/ 13?
And 2014/15?
(Periods in which they have had several different managers and lost many of their best players also)
At what point would you accept that they're a better team? Does it require a title win? Or maybe if they finish above us 9 out of 10 seasons? Because that's getting closer.

Are you dim, or just playing wind up? my original point addressed this, all I said was that when we're both at our best I believe that we could beat them. I don't know what your obsession with the last seven years is, but it's a complete irrelevance.
What has that got to do with the two teams that will take to the pitch tomorrow ?

The respective form of teams over a period of time has no bearing on the quality of those teams? Wow.
The better team is more likely to win. That ream is Spurs. Because they're a better team. I don't understand what's so hard to work out.
What Tottenham and Liverpool did six years ago has very little bearing on what they'll do tomorrow.
