Today was a case of "Lads, Liverpool haven't got VVD"

Its painfully clear that VVD is as important to the shape and style of our team as Mo Salah is. With VVD I don't think Spurs come at us the way they did at times. VVD reading of the game and his physique give our entire defence and midfield time to safely move up the pitch without worrying about counterattacks. Without VVD teams think "we got a chance".

Robbo was YELLOW....borderline red...Kane was a clear red...why didn't VAR send the Ref to the monitor on the Kane YELLOW card....stitched up by VAR..

I just saw the second half. Our players looked tired, looked like they've just played a game 3 days earlier.
The ref was horrible, even my Man U supporting brothers agreed.
In the end, considering the team and the lack of rest, a point is a decent result away at Spurs.

agreed

We really weren't. Spurs should have been out of sight.

This is where City's squad always comes up trumps though, Pep and his £300m bench, while everyone else hits a brick wall.

Should have been up a man.
SHould have had a penalty and probably a 2nd red for the SPurs RB

Yes, they missed sitters but we missed good chances too (Should have been up 1-0 within a few minutes thanks to Robbo, Mane etc)

The ref decided the game ...

Commentators saying Kane escapes the red card as he’s the England captain.
Thats wrong on so many levels, and probably right in regards to that awful decision.

We definetly do NOT need a new goalkeeper.

England Captain never gets sent off
England Captain never gets sent off
England Captain never gets sent off

If Kane gets sent off, we win that. I actually think it's more of an orange that Kane one. I wasn't complaining too much about the yellow at the time. But there's no way Robbo's tackle was worse. He was too aggressive, but Kane's was so much more dangerous. Had a clear pen turned down, too. As for Spurs' chances, they either missed, or Alisson made some great saves. All within the bounds of the game. But that refereeing display was shambolic.

Kane was lucky.
If the ref gives no card, VAR sends him off.
If the ref sends him off, VAR doesn't over-turn it.
If the ref gives a yellow, VAR shits out of it.
This the only universe in which Doctor Strange says he gets away with it.

Nah.

He should have been off, but we didn't do ourselves any favours. Could have been four or five goals for them

For sure. Don’t know what the rules are anymore when it comes to this
If it directly led to a goal - from Mane or Mo himself, then handball, but now it's not a handball if there's a new phase, and that's what it clearly was, ball cleared to Trent and crossed to Robbo.

Yeah not saying we played well. They had chances, but ultimately missed them. It happens in football. What shouldn't happen though, especially with VAR now, is that abject, pathetic display of officiating. It's a completely different game and scoreline if those mongs do their job properly.
