LFC - all time top 10 players

For me Keegan was the talisman who transformed us from relatively successful side into the top team in Europe and began our 17 season domination of the English league. Fowler and Owen were merely brilliant.

Once again this really depends on whether one zeroes in on at what the player brought to the table as an individual, or looks at his playing history. I stand by the former because the latter also depends on many other factors and many other people.

Having seen Keegan live a few times I rate him very highly indeed and he was definitely pivotal in our ascent to the top, but he'd tell you himself that he did it by making the absolute best of what he had, rather than by having brilliant individual skills from the get-go. Owen and especially Fowler had a touch of magic about them that Keegan would never claim for himself..

Couldn't disagree more JJ, Keegan had more than a touch of magic; you don't win the Balon D'Or twice and numerous other personal accolades in England and Germany without "a touch of magic". Keegan's phenomenal work-rate sometimes disguised his natural ability but his inventiveness (i.e. getting the ball in the net in a variety of ways and in a variety of situations) in front of goal was equal to Fowler's (no higher praise possible) and his all-round game was better than Fowlers.

I'd agree about his all-round game, but otherwise we'll have to agree to differ, and my principal witness would be the man himself. I see Keegan as being in a similar bracket to Lampard, namely a decent skillset maximised to the nth degree by insane amounts of sheer hard work both in training and in the games themselves.

We're poles apart on this JJ, for me KK is the second (only behind King Kenny) best LFC player ever. Anyways we're not gonna reach any agreement on this so we'll leave it there. xx

For me personally it's a case of mostly hearing about Keegan's performances via radio commentary or reading post match news.

I didn't get a chance to really watch him play for us until his last few months at the club.

I probably watched every single minute that Fowler and Owen played for us, and in those somewhat barren times those two were the ones to bring me the most joy.

My dad always said that KK was the best player he's seen in Red after Kenny, so I'm leaving that last spot contested until Trent claims it.

Trent will turn 22 in a few weeks and he's already been instrumental in winning the league and the CL.
He's our little good luck charm.

Stupid question, it says that he's 175cm tall every where on the web but he's obviously taller than Robbo who's 178cm tall.
So how tall is he really?

FIFA 20 has him at 180cm. I think they're more reliable then Wiki (which is the font of everything else).

Trent is about 5'11" which makes him about 180cm. The 175cm thing is outdated.

Robbo doesn't look as tall as 178cm, though.

Your dad was very likely right on KK, he was voted European Player of the year - twice I think. Although second time I think was when he moved on from LFC.
