Assuming he stays Id like to see him get a run in the side, of all the players that may have their careers turned around by Hodgson I think Insua is most likely. He will never be Ashley Cole in the pace department but he was good enough at 20 to be considered one of the brightest fullback prospects in the game. He was throw in at the deep end last season in a defence that was drowning, I remmeber Carra Johnson and Skertl all having a number of nightmare games and Insua was no different, but obviously his confidence took a knock and he retreated further and further within himself until he became a liability.

Hes nowhere near as bad as some people are making out, if he goes fair enough because i donth think hes ready to be our starting left back but maybe in another season he will be, if we keep him Id like him brought back in slowly

It always amazes me when a young player breaks through for Utd or Arsenal all their fans rave on about the next generation of superstarts etc even if they are decidely average like Macheda Fabio etc, and when we get good young players that fall short of being ready to walk straight into a premierleague first XI we absolutely hammer them for not being as good as Fernando Torres

Good post. All of it.
