Jeez. A spurious rumour to say the least (Marca to some local paper called Don Juan or somesuch) gets it's own thread nowadays. Must be quiet in here then !
8 goals in two and a half seasons in la liga, 50m euro buyout clause. I've seen him a few times, he was quite good in the Basque derby last week, but no way is he worth that. Where on earth would it leave Origi who Klopp seems to rate.
10 goals 7 assists in 52 appearances (3533 mins - equivalent to 39 full matches). Worth noting in 14/15 he was making his breakthrough in the 2nd half of the season so last season was basically his first full one in top flight.
He started this season not too well, only 1 goal in 10 games in all comps – and I saw that goal, it was a simple tap in. Even if Klopp likes him, I don't think he would feel any urgency to buy him at this point.
Matip is staying for sure. He only plays for Cameroon at World Cups.
As for a possible replacement for Mane, I have to say I really can't wait for Ojo to get fit. Even yesterday we could have used his pace. I think he is as talented as Ibe or Sterling and should be given a chance this season.

Saw him play yesterday against Real Madrid and he was probably Bilbao's least effective player. He missed 2 one-on-one's with the keeper; one of which was a shocking miss. His work rate wasn't anything special (better than Sturridge but no where near Firmino's). £44m for a less prolific version of Studge who runs a bit more seems daft. Obviously I've only seen him once but on this showing...........no thanks.
The gulf between the best 4 in the world and the rest is so big that you get this view where most strikers look shit. In my mind it is very difficult to compare now having witnessed Suarez.
