Cissokho wasn't that bad, certainly nowhere near as some are making out. He seems to be the latest whipping boy. Aspas was very poor though.

Aspas was a bit lost still, but his cushioned lay off for Henderson's miss at the Annie road end was delightful. If Jordan buries that it would have done Aspas the world of good. Still struggle to see why we let Borini go out on loan and then got him in. Strange one.

It's a case of knowing what Borini can offer but not knowing how Aspas will fair. Now we know differently - hindsight at work ... again!

Borini needed minutes to adapt after 2 long lay offs.

We couldn't guarantee that. Now, we know the type of player he is.

He'll easily be our dirk replacement

Aspas has to start against Oldham and contribute meaningfully or we might as well get him off the books in January and play some young kid who contributes equally little but who has a future at the club.

I think they're different types of players. I think Aspas can operate better in wide areas than Borini.

Borini is very similar to Sturridge in my book.

Easily? Dunno about that Fabio.

If he turns out to be half as important to us as Dirk was i'd be happy.

I only saw the game today on LTV, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well Cissokho played. Didn't seem to do much wrong and defended well IMO.

...and the workrate, and the assists, and his big game performances.
Behave

Hardly had chance to show it.

So far he helped knock a strong Chelsea side out the cup with an assist and goal for an awful Sunderland side, after being phased in easily. Scored a great goal at the death in a north East Derby.

And Anyone who says he doesn't have work rate is a mental.

The lad has all the attributes to be a success, it's just needs to click.

I don't want a Dirk replacement. I want better and Borini isn't it despite his name being Fabio.

He'll be better than dirk. Everything Martin jol promised us dirk would be

A 20 goal 20 assist striker

I barely touched a drop!

When's that coming out?

And do we have to pay upfront to cover any of your costs?

Is this real?

UPDATE: Yep, it is. Just checked on Squawka. I'm taking this as my avatar. Bye-bye Rafa, we had a good run and wish you the best of luck in Napoli. Let's meet next year in the Champs League!
