Hull - Post Match

Oh and the Referee... 3 games in a row we have had shite officials now... How is that possible ?

Did Agger start in central defence? Another clean sheet? Impossible.

Anywho, I thought it was a good team performance. Can't really single anyone out for praise but I can say that we played with 10 men with Aspas on and Moses was a bit useless.

Realised that we have a game vs Oldham in a few days, hence why Alberto didn't get any time on the pitch today.
I bet we'll see a reserve side in that game.

Anyway, I'll take that all day long. A run-of-the-mill 2-0 win over a Steve Bruce side. Back in the top 4. Most of our shittest fixtures done. Sturridge due back in a matter of days.

Locked Match thread before @Studge15 causes any more damage...

Good win after 2 defeats.. Back in the top 4!!

Cissokho probably had his best game..

Coutinho looked class above the rest.. just he needs to work on his finishing...

Was just going to mention Cissokho, he played well, defended well in general which was good to see.

Would of loved that Coutinho shot to go in right at the end there, would of been an insane goal.

Next games are as follows.. Just three big ones spread over 11 games. We seem to do well against the lesser for now, so I'll predict a total of 22 points from 30

Jan 12 11:10 ET Stoke City v Liverpool Britannia Stadium Premier League
Jan 18 12:30 ET Liverpool v Aston Villa Anfield Premier League
Jan 28 3:00 ET Liverpool v Everton Anfield Premier League
Feb 2 8:30 ET West Bromwich Albion v Liverpool The Hawthorns Premier League
Feb 8 7:45 ET Liverpool v Arsenal Anfield Premier League
Feb 12 3:00 ET Fulham v Liverpool Craven Cottage Premier League
Feb 23 8:30 ET Liverpool v Swansea City Anfield Premier League
Mar 1 10:00 ET Southampton v Liverpool The Friends Provident St Mary's Stadium
Mar 8 10:00 ET Liverpool v Sunderland Anfield Premier League
Mar 15 11:00 ET Manchester United v Liverpool Old Trafford Premier League

10 regulation wins there....

The key fixture is Man UTD @ Old Trafford..

Could very well be the match that claims 4th place..

I can see them going on a run if they get a result today... they have a nasty habit of doing that...

We need to match them, we have a decent run of game which will allow us to (In theory)

Hmm, don't forget Arsenal and Everton. Arguably bigger games. And of course, I still see us in for the title race, since we are just 6 off first.

The break to the next PL game is perfect timing for us, its definately needed.

I agree. Rest Suarez for the Oldham game. Gerrard can stroll about like an old man in the park and work on his fitness and some of the fringe players can have a go. I might even be tempted to play Aspas.

{Some of the above might not be true}

.

YOU put Skrtel in the man of the match thread.

Good enough for a clean sheet, but NOT our best Cb?

We could have won 6 - 0 if Sterling, Henderson and Coutinho (twice) score on their one on one with goalie.

Clean sheet at last. Controlled the game. Hull did not threaten and if they did I don't remember Mignolet making a save.

3 points.

pity henderson didn't score that chance , that would have been a lovely team goal . he's getting himself in good positions, hopefully he'll start to add more goals to his game .

coutinho needs one of his 'just outside the box' shots to go in to relax him a little.

i'm most pleased about the clean sheet , we have to see more of them .

Two goals, a clean sheet without playing particularly well. Cissokho was not bad-- not magnificent-- I thought. Maybe the selection of Flaganan before he got injured and Agger after that was the kick up the proverbial. It may even be the window as he could be shipped back. He hardly went forward until we had gone 2-0 but was tidy in defence. Henderson and Coutinho were quite good but really need to work on their shooting. At this level, this can come back to bit you. Sterling was also good as was almost everyone bar Moses (what a headless waste of talent).

Onwards and upwards.
