He better resign in the post match interview.
Resign while telling he didnt expect us to beat Blackpool anyway? Would be starnge. Remember that Blackpool havent lost on their last 3 games against us (4 it is now). How can we expect to beat them?

I've reset the poll, go flip flop.

Thanks SO.

New vote has now been entered.

i said to give Roy til Christmas. After his post match comments, fuck, please change it to NOW.

I changed mine from end of the season until Christmas, although lose against the Bitters and it could be curtains.

are people allowed to change their votes?
i reset it so people can.

He has to go soon. At some point, a loss to a team like Blackpool will no longer be considered a shock result. And then it'd be too late. It's like a horror movie where the music's gone bad and you know something horrible is coming your way.

"I thought Blackpool played well in the first half"
Possibly the most defeatist, pathetic and embarrising shit ever spewed from a manager.

out before the chelsea match next month, really don't want to see them batter us at home >🙁

i don't mind roy but he has literally done fuck tochange the approach of the team and he seems to be happy with draws when he really shouldn't

Although he wasn't necessarily my first choice for manager, I really didn't think he would be a bad appointment. I thought he would correct some of what we all thought were "obvious" errors on Rafa's part, get our team playing as a unit, make "obvious" substitutions, etc. Unfortunately he has done none of the above and while (as I think it was Jules said in another thread) the players might be the ones who are underperforming, it's Roy's responsibility to get them performing.

I don't like the idea of sacking a manager this early into the season but it's clear we are in terminal freefall if we don't change something soon. Even our top players look midtable Championship calibre right now.

I hadn't voted till today (because I was quietly expecting something (though hoping against) like this), but I have now and it's one game, and if that game isn't convincing rather than shite for 89 minutes and get a lucky deflection to nick a win or some shit then he can fuck off.

I said 'this season' and I am sticking with that.

At least we'd probably be favorites for the Championship next year then.

No. A man of your experience doesn't need to be told anything by a bloke like me.

I think the only experience I have mate is not being seasick on the high seas, shagging prostitutes in every country that has at least a beach, knowing the symptoms for clap, and drinking until I (used) to see double but outwardly appearing sober.

In fairness Brendan it isn't as much to do with liking/rating Roy as it is to do with how bad it would be to sack a manager after such a short period of time.
If he was to resign (which he won't) that would be another thing altogether but to sack the guy after seven premier league games is the type of decision that has relegated Newcastle and countless other clubs who blinked when faced with pressure.

With all the problems at the club right now how is sacking Roy going to fix things?
Is a new manager going to get Johnson to stop playing like a cunt? Torres to cheer the fuck up and look like he enjoys what he does for a living?
Roy is picking the teams that the majority of posters here agree with (OT for example). I just don't see how sacking him now is going to change our fortunes.

We don't sack managers they just leave by mutual consent, just ask Souey Roy Houllier and Rafa, and hopefully Roy #2

I voted one year. Maybe 3 months is more than enough.

When I last voted, there were about 11 voting for a season! Now it seems I am standing alone!? So we can change our votes?

roy should be replaced the moment the club changes hands
??? And that would be?? WHEN??

It's also the same type of decision that moved Spurs from the relegation zone to the Champions League in less than two seasons. Sometimes it's the only way, Stu.
