Visiting Anfield

Hey guys, as some of you will know I’m a long time lurker (KT days) with an occasional flurry of posting. I’m finally planning on taking my mum for an Anfield pilgrimage for her very delayed 75th birthday. I grew up in Birkenhead (wool I know 😂) but moved to Vancouver, Canada many years ago.

I’m finding it very hard to plan with a cart and horse situation. Do I get the flights, and hope for tickets. Or get a flight last minute once tickets are secured? But it’s become apparent getting tickets is an absolute nightmare. We’re planning on coming around March/April, so maybe too soon for purchase?

I know some lads on here have them for sale occasionally, or know someone who does. Just looking for any help or information so I can plan and make this a reality!

Anything would help lads! Appreciate it!

If the great people of this forum can’t help (I suspect they will be able to) then the best bet is buying corporate tickets through the offical website. They are pricey but remove any anxiety about securing tickets and generally provide a great experience. I did that with the MRs when I didn’t want the stress and it was a brilliant day. Throw in the stadium tour first thing in the morning and thumping Watford 6-1 and it was a day to remember. Worth every penny.

Thanks DB! I definitely thought about the corporate ticket, but are you in a box for the game, or after the hospitality they take you down to the stands?

I remember you from KT, I thought you were 75 by now not your mum 🤣
I joined this looney bin early, and clearly it agreed with me 😂

Neildo - now there's a blast from the past 😉

Flights - shouldn't have any issue booking as most flights ate bookable at least 6 months in advance. I guess that depends on the airline/route though. Obviously the type of flight ticket you buy (and it's price!) will determine if it's refundable or transferable (to another date).

Most hospitality packages come with a regular seat, generally in Anfield rd

If there are ones available where the hospitality part, pre match, is at one of the Anfield lounges , it is much better than the ones that are at city center hotel with a coach transfer

Ya not in a box unless you spend crazy money, down to a seat. Depending on the package you get seats all over the place.

I'm yet to visit the new afnield road stand. Think we all are.

As long as tooting sites remain a thing, tickets are fairly easy to come by. I’ve bought my last 5 tickets to games off them and works a treat every time (only reason you pay 20-30 quid over the regular price is because of the admin service fee). Don’t even bother trying through the website anymore, why I still have my members’ card I don’t know, it’s of no use to me.

P.s I only live 5 miles from the ground so if you need a chauffeur for the day, holla at your boy.

Perfect! That’s what I was worried about. Don’t want to come all that way, then be sat in a box with no atmosphere. Ideally would be in the kop, but beggars can’t be choosers! 😂

4 have been from livefootballtickets.com and the other from Ticombo. I'm usually as skeptical as anybody at first with these 3rd party sites as you can never verify how authethic they are, but you put more trust and confidence each time it works and now I wouldn't hesitate to use, it's a very simple process.

They're very good if you need 2-4 seats together as well, had some family come over from abroad this summer and we managed to arrange tickets from both sites for all of us 2 days before, ok it was only a pre-season game against Sevilla but it all works the same, the e-tickets are wired to your apple wallet and off you go.

Cheers mate, gonna look into those and see what the corporate rates are!

Really appreciate the help lads, hopefully I’m not the kiss of death to any result that day! 😂
