Okay, so some of you want him fucked off already. Some of you don't, but just how long do you want to see this for? Vote.

It depends on results. How can you say Xmas/end of the season? What if we win every game between now and then? (we won't of course).

Any less than a season would be harsh, but failure to win against shite like Blackpool deserves all the harshness on earth.

Any less than a season, IF the team were creating and trying, would be harse. The way we are playing it isn't.

Ignoring the complexities of being faced with new potential owners, I think the club owe it to themselves to at least give Roy a season, but if we're faced with continued levels of under performance then the club regrettably may be forced to act before the season's close.

For better or worse, we've always be a patient club with a lot of faith in the manager.

I think sacking him after one season would be acknowledgement enough that we made a big mistake in the summer.

Whether or not our board members have the good grace to hold their hands up and admit to a mistake is another matter entirely.

I'm against sacking of managers mid-Season but it's obvious that it'll be in no-ones interest to keep him at Anfield should we already be destined for mid-table obscurity come Christmas. Then better get someone new in with half a Season to learn the players etc and prepare us for 11/12.

He'll get at least this season. After that it depends on whether we get new owners or not.

id have fired him after the birmingham game. or if he had a throat id have grabbed him by it and slapped him across his stupid face repeatedly until he came to his senses

A question for those of you who want him gone before the end of the season.

Who would you bring in to replace him (and let's be realistic about this shall we)?

One more game, and if he does manage to stay till Christmas then he should not be trusted to spend any more or little we have available, no point getting another old usless midfielder for like Poulsen in and then playing him on the wing anyway.

Normally a man should be able to prove his worth. Roy has allready proved he is no worth to this fine club. No point to cling onto him any further. Kick him out after the dissapointing game tomorrow. He has NO FUCKING CLUE AT ALL!!!!!

The same manager who guided a poor team on limited resources to 6th in the league and a European final. Brilliant analysis. What exactly did you expect was going to happen this year with a weakened squad, no money for decent replacements and an ownership battle that is ripping the club apart? The solution is obviously to sack him after seven games and replace him with one of the queue of big name managers/magicians waiting to turn us back into a top four club overnight.

Fucking. Hellski.

i'm really sick of shit like this:

“Are people suggesting that we should be doing the same as Arsenal, who have had the same team together for the last six years and Chelsea, who have just won the league?

“If so I would accuse them of being unrealistic at this moment in time."

Just STFU and win some games, for fuck's sake.

I didn't vote because the 'He's not worthy and should NEVER have been appointed ' choice isn't there

It's clearly an unanswerable question, as it depends entirely on our performances and results. Ideally, no Liverpool manager should be sacked midway through a season, as it smacks of panic and classlessness. But if we don't show any signs of improvement soon, panic may be the only viable solution.

As for who'd replace him... it would have to be Kenny, on a temporary basis. Either till the end of the season, or till new owners gave us a chance of attracting a great manager, whichever came first.

And if he does make it to the end of the season, the question then is: what is our minimum expectation for Hodgson keeping his job? Top 4 seems an unfair requirement in his first season, with barely any resources at all, but then again, what other aim can we legitimately have? And, perhaps more importantly: do we, after a season under his management, have faith in the direction he's taking us in?

Top 4 has got to be his aim and it's still very possible. If we don't make 4th, he's failed.
