Didn't he win 5 championships in a row with Malmo? That's success right? Or doesn't that count because it's only the Swedish league? I'm not really in the mood to argue over Hodgson. As I said I'm not a fan of his and am glad he is out of our club. Still

In a near 40yr managing career he has managed 2 national sides. Two absolute top sides in Liverpool and Inter (twice) several other clubs dotted around Europe becoming fluent in Swedish, Finnish, French and Italian (it's ironic therefore that he struggles with English) on the way and reaching a win percentage of 43% in 37 yrs! So yes @Silver Sean he has had success. Whether or not you wish to acknowledge that is up to you I suppose - Or maybe you think he was just lucky...

Red, he's up there with Mourinho and Ancelotti.... 🙂 it's a long and storied, career. He's one of the few British coaches to have such an extensive career overseas, and he's got to a few finals. It's decent, but successful would be a stretch. And he hasn't won much in 30 years in any of the bigger type A european leagues. He did call Pirlo a bad name though...

Actually It's funny I thought I would do a comparison of win %s with other managers and he came last out of all the ones I looked up. By quite a way as well - I suppose that is because he has been managing for so long. Even Souness beat him! Blown my theory out of the water I guess! Whoops. I do acknowledge my lack of footy nous often so that might explain my stance. 😳

Ive never ever wanted England to lose before, not ever. Tonight I really do. I want him sacked while we still have time to qualify and not ruin another fucking 2 years for me.

I hate Hodgson and that might make me sound like a bastard but my granddad died when I was 8 and I was pretty upset but on the other hand it meant I got to stay off school and I used emotional blackmail on my parents so they'd let me play my brother's brand new copy of Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix on the Amiga and boy was it fucking good.


Hang on, this isn't going to plan. Skip that.
 
I actually laughed out loud, Hodgson would make an excellent alternative older Mr Bean if you just observed him..
 
He's got some weird mucus-related thing going on that drives me crazy. Maybe if he blew his nose things would seem a tad better. Or at least sound a tad better. At least it would be an improvement on the words.
 
Apparently he said post-match: 'Now we can pick our teeth up and put them back in'. I know the bloke is getting on but, blimey, by the end of the campaign he'll be talking about colostomy bags and blue pills.
