Top Scorers

  1. 28 Suarez (Liverpool)
  2. 19 Sturridge (Liverpool)
  3. 16 Yaya Touré (Man City)
  4. 15 Agüero (Man City)
  5. 14 Hazard (Chelsea)

A hattrick and an assist and he didn't even play up to his normal standard, the guy is like Rocky Bilboa - he just never ever gives up or knows when he's beaten.

forget everything else , it's his work rate , determination and fight that blow me over .

I'd love Sturridge to score midweek ..first time since hunt and st.john ( i think it was those two) we'll have had 2 strikers with 20 league goals plus . I'm old school, i love a striking partnership .

Sturridge one goal of making it two strikers with 20 premier league goals, another first for 50 years for us.

There was lovely bit toward the end of the match. The stream I was following had these two bellend commentators. I think they must have been anti LFC such was the bias of their commentary. Anyway Suarez got fouled and went down. Cue them bleeting on about his reputation for falling down too easily - Suarez promptly got up immediatley. Chased the ball down (I think the defender tried to clear it and Suarez threw his head at it) He eventually won the ball from sheer bloody mindedness and set Sturridge on his way. The commentators just went silent and then conceded that 'He never gives up'.... Fucking aces!

He works hard, he's skillful and determined but it's the way he sees the game that's the most impressive for me. He's just so unbelievably sharp in his mind and I don't think that can ever be taught fully, a lot might come with experience but he's on a different level to pretty much any striker in the game with anticipation, reaction and manipulating a situation to the maximum.

His 3rd goal today, how many times have you seen him create a goal out of that? He watches the ball, watches the defender, knows where to put his body and knows exactly how to make the situation pay for him. I think when he first arrived at the club his sharpness also had a negative side with diving and playacting because he knows how to extract the maximum out of a situation in bad ways too but now that's all (fingers crossed) gone and he's been fantastic.

The other thing he does a lot which nobody really seems to mention is that when he attempts a dribble and fails he always makes contact with or blocks the defender which puts them on the back foot and allows him to recover the ball a lot of the time. Thats obviously developed in tandem with his winning mentality, he just doesn't want to lose the ball and he's found an extra trick to help.

All the sharpness in the world wouldn't count for a lot without the rest of the qualities he has, all those added together make him a fantastic player. I'm delighted he's still here and I love watching him.

Top post.

It's the 93rd minute of a game in which he run his socks off and we are 2 goals up.
He challenges the defender and goes all the way to score. Can't think of many strikers who'd do this.
This is just an unbelieveable attitude!

On top of that never say die attitude, he's so skillful and technically gifted, he's sharp in mind, as Markeh says, and he's always in for the unexpected as he thinks different.

We're so blessed to have him. I hope he sticks with us, and becomes for us what Cantona was for MU.
