I like the kid, but well, he's kind of average really with occasional good days and occasional stinkers. I've been trying to be wrong on this view for a long time.

Im currently struggling with plantar fascitis...when i got an xray done, there was this halo around my heel bone and the doctor said that was calcification due to plantar fascitis. Im going through physio and it is a painfully slow process....the pain itself is sub acute when i just walk about a little bit. Only when i walk more than 2 or 3 miles at a stretch i start to feel it...its a real bastard regardless.

But i thought at his level he will have better treatment?

Well that was what the trip to Boston was about, wasn't it ?

And it doesn't seem to have worked. So he's probably just left with physio and rest as his treatment.

No. He said something about a minor setback that some people interpreted as him implying it had ruptured.

He said Henderson had some "bleeding around the heel", and;

Speaking on his skipper, Klopp said: “We'll have to wait a little bit because there was something with the heel. It could be good for him, we all hope it is the final pain before he can go in another direction.

Yes.which I what I said. Henderson didn't have a rupture. But that's how it was interpreted. Has anyone got a blackboard?

Klopp (and Henderson) did say that it was something good in the long term, so you can forgive people for making the assumption.

Well, I certainly want to see a drawing of Hendersons heel on that blackboard before accepting it hasnt ruptured....

Who uses a blackboard these days?
Some schools make a point in still using blackboards. Unfortunately they call them chalkboards, because they're run by idiots in the main.

As much as I love technology, & I think smart boards are ace, there's not always a need for multimedia in every class & given my experience of teachers, caretakers & school resources, there's a lot to be said for a medium that can't suffer any technical breakdowns.

Incidentally I remember getting into a real debate with our then RE teacher about the whole 'blackboard' vs 'chalkboard' debate.

I was pointing out to her that blackboard wasn't offensive because there was no negative connection made, unlike, for example 'black spot' on a road or motorway meaning many accidents, which can easily be construed to be a negative so is perhaps more worthy of renaming.

I ended up in front of the headteacher, who was also an English & English Lit teacher, who told me off for arguing in front of the class with a teacher. He then proceeded to agree with me & completely deconstructed the argument to the RE teacher & told her she was most definitely wrong.

I was somewhat happy with that outcome.

I agree about the tech not breaking down part. Smart boards are great, we had them in one of the language schools I went to for Greek classes. One of the great advantages of them is the teacher didn't waste time rubbing the board and they could keep whatever they had written for later to refer back to it. Instead of it becoming chalk dust on the ground.

I've also heard some kindergartens sing "baa baa rainbow sheep" but I don't know how true that is.

The excessive do-gooding described in the last few posts is sheer stupidity, and I'm convinced it actually sets the cause of anti-racism back rather than doing it any favours. By way of comparison, while I'm not black I am Jewish by race, and I would cringe - as indeed would Jewish relatives and friends whose views I'm aware of - if people tiptoed around that, avoided Jewish jokes (most Jewish people I know love them) or whatever.

It happened in two private nurseries and was massively exaggerated by the Daily Mail and the type of massive Clarksons that read it.

As much as they love money?

But they didn't call it the black death then. They called it the pestilence.

It was called the Black Death because it made your extremities and large parts of your body rot and go black. As in the colour. The colour black.

The word black has, for hundreds and hundreds of years, been associated with death, disease, plague, illness, evil and peril. For reasons that have fuck all to do with Ice Cube, crack cocaine and drive by shootings.

You're not allowed to do that. Instant results and performances is what we demand!
In all seriousness he looks like he's holding back a bit. Wheter thats pain or fear I dont know.

Hopefully he's back 100% soon but as you say a bit better last night.

No, instant results and performances aren't demanded, but when the Captain of the team looks a shadow of his former self unable to even run it seems, regardless of his injury problems or not, it's kind of a big deal.

You'll be hard pressed to find someone who's more of a fan of Henderson that myself. As well as the genius of Suarez, the ruthless finishing of Sturridge and the skill and speed of Sterling, one of the things that stands out from that 13/14 season was the rise in Henderson's game and the confidence and almost cocky nature of his performances. A far cry from the lost little pup stuck on the right wing in his first season. It was great to see.

Right now though, he's becoming a bit of a liability for me. Really hope he can shake this injury off, there's a few differing stories on it.
