I thought he looked slightly better today. What's so strange about taking a bit of time to play yourself back into form after a painful injury?

You're not allowed to do that. Instant results and performances is what we demand!
In all seriousness he looks like he's holding back a bit. Wheter thats pain or fear I dont know.

Hopefully he's back 100% soon but as you say a bit better last night.

The injury is on going, I think it was said a while back that he'll either be stuck with it for the longterm, or something will pretty much rupture and force surgery. It's hardly a surprise he's struggling, before his injury he was great.

It's unfortunate. The very thing that made him such an asset was his mobility and this has obviously been compromised but it's also had a knock on effect on his passing and decision making.
We also haven't much choice but to play him at the moment.

Possibly so, but losing the armband would itself set him back. He shouldn't get in the side just because he's skipper but I wouldn't rush into taking the job away from him either.

The guy needs the season to shake off this injury and rediscover his form, usually that would be a problem, but its hardly like we have much on this season.

He was never good enough to get it in the first place. But he was still the best option available at the time, I can't even think who'd be a better option now. He kind of got it by default more than anything.

There's nothing to really gain by taking it away from him either.

Can't have a captain who isn't a guaranteed starter.
I'd give it to Skrtel for now.
Honestly Lucas is more of a captain than Hendo.

I'm not sure Skrtel is guaranteed either, and neither is Lucas. We don't have any stand out options. And that's a bigger issue that who actually ends up being captain.

Didnt Klopp say something about it having ruptured?

He is typical of the types of players that litter this squad.... young potential that never really cut the mustard after several years.

We have become synonymous with buying players who were doing well in the Premiership midtable / lower end.... they are big fish in small ponds and cant make the step up.

Time to look abroad again for some real technique and bring some of the young local lads if you ask me....

Needs clearing out from the root the whole playing squad apart from a couple.

Lucas is even less of a guaranteed starter than Henderson, so I don't know what you're on about here.
Lucas is a motivator and a leader on the pitch. Hence why I think he's a more capable captain.
Henderson does is disappearing act too many times.

But not a guaranteed starter

You've overlooked that

You want your captain to receive instant respect from teammates and opposition alike and the only 2 players we have like that are Sturridge and Coutinho and I don't think either of them are captain material.
Klopp should pick what he thinks is the best team for every game and if Henderson is in that team then he gets the armband and if he isn't then someone else wears it.
Players will listen to people they either rate, fear or respect regardless of whether they are wearing the captains armband or not but unfortunately we don't have many of them type of players nowadays.

Its not really that kind of injury.

He's going to have good weeks and bad weeks depending on the inflammation levels.

The reality is this type of injury is one that discourages a player from running too much because of the pain and the knowledge that the more you do the more you'll suffer.

Its going to inhibit him regularly.

Im currently struggling with plantar fascitis...when i got an xray done, there was this halo around my heel bone and the doctor said that was calcification due to plantar fascitis. Im going through physio and it is a painfully slow process....the pain itself is sub acute when i just walk about a little bit. Only when i walk more than 2 or 3 miles at a stretch i start to feel it...its a real bastard regardless.

But i thought at his level he will have better treatment?
