I think in these early season matches, the difference between teams is not big. The objective is not to lose silly points as we almost did against Leeds.

I recall in Benitez’s days, we’d find ourselves losing silly points earlier on in the season and then find ourselves scrambling to catch up and praying results went our way from other teams’ matches as the season progressed.

That’s why we won the title. We just went out and beat everyone. That added extra pressure on City to get results and they fluffed it. The bottle jobs.

The Chelsea game is MASSIVE.

If we take 6 points before City play Wolves, a team they have had a real hard time against previously, they could easily drop points & then start doubting themselves again big time.
