Capello is a proper coach and has recognised Carra's consistency at the highest level. I hope Carra excels like we all expect him to, when given a chance. Besides that, he made a very good comeback after a dodgy start to the season. He was miles better than Rio and the infidel, Terry! ;D

Unfortunately, there's no way Carra will get a game at CB. He's there to cover for Johnson at RB. I hope he doesn't have to play, as his lack of pace could be cruelly exposed there at international level.

The best club sides would probably beat most international sides most of the time, but I suspect there is a greater concentration of players with pace in international teams. Maybe that's why, for example, Terry has always been more impressive for his club than for England, despite the arguably higher standard of club football at the very highest level.

Rooney likes playing alongside him, as Owen used to, because he does the grafting up front and they can pick up the pieces. I've also read that Fabio's been a fan of this aspect of Heskey's play for quite a while, since before he became England manager.

Interesting that Crouchy's been given the no.9 squad number though.

I read that the indiscipline Walcott's accused of is turning up late for a meeting. He went to apologise to Capello who politely shut the door in his face.
