England - Peru

Wilshere will get injured after 10 mins. Hendo next to Gerrard for me.
Rooney needs to be dropped.

The defence is the biggest worry. Jagielka isnt good enough.

I would like to get Wilshere in there somewhere tbh. I think he's our best player with the ball.

He is, I think it all boils down to keeping him fit and stopping him diving in and doing too much, which usually results him him being injured. Barkley could well replace anyone of the midfield who are seemingly getting away with it, which on current evidence for England, could be any one of them.

I saw Johnson waddling around by the left corner after an attack at one point, no rush to get back the useless cunt. 'Defender' my fucking arse, he couldn't defend a sandcastle

"Give a man a pen and he could change the world, give a man keyboard and you could possibly unleash a bitter cunt."

Love him or hate him, that's a disgraceful & OTT way to talk(type) about one of our players.

I don't agree with calling any of our players cunts, but he's been lax for years, his concentration levels and application are what constantly undo him. I think it's time for him and us to move on.

Agree with this. Based on Rooney's current form I'd be inclined to play a 2-3-1 of Gerrard, Henderson, Wilshere, Lallana and Sterling behind Sturridge. Will never happen though.

I was a big fan, but I think he has trailed off a bit from the early potential, every time I see him he seems to be trying to do to much almost believing his own hype and not applying it.

I'm of the opinion that Johnson is too inconsistant, his end product seems to have dried up and his defending is deteriorating, but the abuse he receives is ott. Fair enough, I doubt that he is an avid 6cm visitor, but still, the crap he gets from trolls on twitter is bad enough but some of the abuse seems to come from those who consider themselves 'fans' on forums. Anyway, that's for the inevitable next Johnson thread, I'd better shut up for now.

The issue is that most of the time it's not Glenjo's ability that lets him down, it's his lack of effort. And as a supporter, that's incredibly frustrating to take from probably the third highest paid player at the club.

I'd rather have Aly Cissokho back next season because he at least puts in everything he can. Johnson at his best this season was still pretty mediocre, Flanagan showed more attacking flair after all.

I was with you until you got to Aly Cissokho!

I don't rate Wilshere at all. Wannabe hard man, can't back it up and gets involved in silly spats a lot, then goes down crying like a pussy. I'd have Barkley all day every day over him alongside Gerrard.

Being Welsh I couldn't really give a toss about England to be honest, but I will say they have a good crop of players going to Rio and they could be dark hourses, will follow only to see how the LFC lads do and of course Lambert and Lallana. Johnson is shit though I hope to god we get rid of him in the summer. Also I can see Studge gettng the golden boot if he carries his club form in to the tournement.

You should play Xpert Eleven. We are in need of a good Welsh manager

With you being Welsh and all, is true about the sheep?
😉

That game was so typically England - slow, static, clueless and boring, makes you wonder what they are doing on the training ground?

It would be so nice to see a bit of tempo in the play and fluidity in attack now and then but its so rare, its not like we haven't got the players either, just some glimpses of it would be nice.

Again that game was another example of why Rooney needs to be dropped, all he seems to do is get in the way and lose the ball.

If you still rate him as a useless shithouse then we see eye-to-eye on that one mate.

Nah, he's talented. He's got great feet, and can play the game. I think he's suffered from being shoved out to the left wing too often, and to being the foil for Rooney/RVP.

He scores bugger all goals yeah, but he'll get better.

He's a ball hog though

He reminds me of Enrique, which is a weird comparison

Probably be the same old England, play cautious team (leave the kids out) until its too late and then when they get knocked out so why didn't they have courage to play the kids.

As if it couldn't get worse for Johnson, he's now being replaced at right back by milner.
And of course they have to fit rooney in somewhere, so he's left wing now.

Interesting that Woy is planning to play Rooney out wide left tonight. Remembering his ludicrous insistence on playing Sturridge on even though he had an injury 'to test his attitude,' I wonder if he's doing something similar with Rooney, who threw an enormous wobbly the last time he was asked to play out wide for England.
